To be fair frank played a great defensive game in the second half but other than that his offensive game was trash he only scored 3 points, and 2 assist.

Sounds like Frank played great defense but terrible offense.

In other words: same ol frank

Frank has a spot for sure for the World Cup but we need more of him ! Always giving away the ball after the half court line ! What's the point to work on his handle that much during the summer if he doesnt show anything during the game ? I understand that its not his role but he needs to be hungry to show something !!

Def was perfect

Their defense picked up in the 4th when he went out there. Now, of course, part of it was they were down, 8 or 9 and had to step it up and make a run, so it was the starting unit, a 4 NBA guys - Frank, Founier, Batum, and Gobet, and while I think Frank was solid defensively and made a few nice plays, felt like it was a collective effort to step it up for the win/get a look at the starting 5 putting forth nearly max effort for a quarter, if that makes sense.

I'm not enough of a scout to notice any special subtleties Frank was bringing in terms of "mega glue guy". Just the usual good team defense. Also got beat on a well executed P&R play, but that felt like good defense, better offense sort of play .

TLDR - team picked up the defense, Frank didn't specifically "jump out"

Anyway, I'm moving on to ruining Iggy's career with my fandom.

Your right these games don't count but for frank all these games matter , frank didn't play for most of season so he needs all the reps he can get. Right now frank is playing like straight garbage on offense and haven't shown any improvement what so ever so far but his defense been great.

This is the last year for me in giving him a chance. He has to show marked improvement or he can definitely go. I always thought it was ridiculous to draft a defensive player in the lottery. His lack of offensive skill just compounds this problem. Youth is only on your side for but so long as an excuse.

I remember having a few posts back and forth with someone about Frank and the responses were so strong, it was like I’m an idiot and know nothing about basketball. We were getting hyped over videos of Frank doing defensive slides in a game. I wanted DSJ in that draft and was absolutely pissed we passed on him for Frank. I eventually bought in and supported Frank as a Knick. But it’s about time now for a return on this investment.

some people dug themselves so deep into a hole that they'll never be able to cope

it will be 3 or 4 years down the road and a thread will pop up with some grainy video footage that frank finally scored 20 points in some french ymca scrimmage and how the knicks messed up by not developing him and letting him leave

That will only happen if we are still a horrible franchise

Here's the thing. Frank is a throwback player to the days when people cared about defense and not just offense. Bruce Bowen NEVER averaged over 10 points a game in ANY season but he's considered as a big reason why the Spurs were so good. With that said, people waiting and/or hoping Frank becomes a 12-14 ppg guy may never see that. Is that a bad thing?? Ask the Spurs... It's up to the Knicks organization to foster a roster that can utilize each guy's skill-set to the fullest. I like Fiz and am a huge supporter but like Horn, he didn't do Frank any favors the way he asked him to play.

All this crazy talk about Frank being out of the league in a couple of years is just that - CRAZY. Our problem is that we don't have a roster capable of bringing out Frank's talents - which is defense & unselfishness.

Some people's expectation is the problem and not necessarily Frank. He is who he is and that probably won't change.

I think you need a player like frank, most good teams usually have someone who does a role well and frank is a great defender(even a good passer).

Pretty sure France plays again today and tomorrow. We'll see if anything changes for Frank.
