Kuz is going to start wanting an extension this season, or he's going to start talking about becoming a free agent.
We could extend and trade him...
And Cleveland has been looking to trade Thompson and Clarkson... We could maybe do like a KCP/Kuz/Cook for Thompson/Clarkson thing if we could get Kuz to agree to an extend/trade...
Thompson isn't a world-beater at C but he's probably better over-all than McGee, which would move McGee to the bench. Clarkson is probably better than KCP at all the same stuff, despite the hitler mustache...

Or we could do a straight Extend and trade Kuz for an extend and traded Sabonis... Sabonis is a legit starter quality C at 23years old.

Indiana would be stupid to trade him straight up for Kuz, but if Kuz is the legit all-star prospect a lot of people think he is, and if Sabonis is asking too much or wants out of Indiana, maybe they do it just to get something for him.

Kuzz isn’t going anywhere... Kid can play & has 2 years left at $2 million...

I am not concerned with a backup as AD can play C & Kuzz can play small ball C...

I do like Noel allot but may be tough to get the kid but he was a Rich Paul client at one time...

I personally don't want to trade Kuzma. I'd rather roll with Faried and McGee or Howard and McGee.

Trading Kuzma is not an option. He just got better because he no longer has cousins to compete with positioning.

Bradley/Caruso, Green, LeBron, Kuzma, AD will be the key lineup for the Lakers.

Which analyst/reporter/respected voice has Kuz projected as a future all star?

Faried. He is undersized but I'd rather have him than Dwight.

Yeah, that's kind of my point... Some fans seem to think he's a potential all-star... And if you think that, then we have a potential all-star coming off the bench for Green... So we should be looking to trade him for another quality big.
If you don't think he's got that potential, then what's the big deal about trading him for a player at a position of need, in our case C?

I am not that high on Kuz, so I'm not sure we can trade him for a whole lot... But some guys here seem pretty high on him, so it shouldn't be that hard to trade him.

Either way. It would seem prudent to at least explore the possibility.

The "All Star" stuff is meaningless. Popular player make the all star team.... not necessarily valuable ones in a system. I'm not sure Kuz ends up an all star but he may just because we're the Lakers and we're relevant again. Worthy made the 50 greatest ever on that gas. That's not the point for me. I couldn't care less about that. He's still young and improving, he's making freaking $1.9M!! and he's able to score at a level every team needs off the bench. Trade that for a back up center?.... really! I'd say we need reliable scoring now that Cousins is gone.... no back up center making $1.9M is bringing that.

Signing him to an extension then trading him? That's a serious stretch it would seem.

Now if we're talking trading KCP and Dudley I'm on board. Nothing consistent, young or cheap about those 2. We can fill in at their positions fairly easily as well.

If we end up with Dwight then we better win the chip this season, because it's the only way I can forgive and accept him on this team again.

I don't know, I think we have our hands tied. We got to get some depth, and he's the best available at the moment. We could use him as a trade piece when the deadline arrives.

Besides, Memphis hasn't even bought him out yet. They could very well use Howard as a trade piece to another depleted team.

Let's give a Bynum a chance to come off the bench

Give Mcgee starting job and boost his energy even more

If not Bynum Then Noah

DH isn't worthy to wear P&G again

Those voting Faried must have not watched him playing recently. His D is atrocious.

Can we get two, like Dwight and Bynum?

C minutes something like
McGee- 20
Dwight- 20
AD- 8

Insert Bynum when the injury happens.
