Ben Simmons seems to be developing a new rival, in the eyes of fans.

An overwhelming amount of people contest that Doncic is better than Simmons.

Well, Doncic is younger, that has to be factored in, because I keep seeing people point out how young Simmons is, yet with Doncic it is like he is already maxed out, which is entirely possible given his early experience and limited athleticism, but unknown at this point. For the record I think both players are closer to their ceilings than many realize.

Simmons early career has been his stellar defence and very limited if non existent outside game. Peak Simmons will be a player who is a lockdown defender who can stroke the J and will be an offensive force. He is currently as far from his ceiling as possible to be.

If Doncic doesn't become a league average or better shooter and doesn't become reliable at the free throw line, he loses the majority of his advantages in the argument against Simmons.

There is no "argument" against Ben where Luka is concerned. One scores a lot but can't defend. The other scores pretty well and can do everything else from defend, rebound, assist, run the floor etc. If Ben's jumper is improved then the sky is the limit for that kid.

Glad to see Ben isn't wasting shooting those face up jumpers in the open gym and saving them for the real season.

I'm working with a lot of autistic kids this summer. Who just don't get irony or sarcasm. I find I'm finding it harder and harder to determine what exactly the green font is trying to get across.

Definitely sarcasm. Ben still hasn't shown in these videos he has worked on a damn thing so far other than when facing a guy he immediately turns his back to them and starts backing them down so he could shooting turnaround fade away jumpers which is not a new thing for him... and do absolutely nothing to stop congesting the key and make his opponents stop laying off him.

I would have expected in these pickup games he would have shot at least one jumper in his opponents face facing the basket... but no.
