He is the only PG on the roster that fits with R.J. To me, he is a no brainer to start.

Wait.. so kids can’t develop, progress, and get better? Woah.
This is why you can’t write off young players. I don’t see anything crazy with Frank, but I see him being a huge bench piece for any team.

Needs to shoot before he's a fit. But I have hope.

I've moved on. Iggy combines all the good traits of Frank, Ron Baker, LFT and Trier (minus top level defense of Frank and Ron's hair) with a draft appropriate spot.

Frank needs minutes and a chance to really prove himself. He doesnt have that alpha personality where he is going to dominate practice or the ball in games. But he really is the perfect swiss army knife player to have if he can get his shot down and tentativeness down as well.
Even if its in the Gleague....Frank needs to play... Thats the only way he will get to the next level. He has a level of potential that I do believe in time he will reach. The work ethic, intelligence and drive is there. And he has the measurables as well. The kid needs to play... Its not too late for him to develop in the G league still if we dont think we can find him consistent minutes this season. He needs to be the "man" for once in his lifetime.

His best and I believe only hope at this point is for DSJ or Elfred to miss significant time. Otherwise I don't see him seeing any playtime because we are stacked to overstacked at every position.

I really don’t get why they’re opposed to sending him to the G league, it makes too much sense

Control yourself, Buzz... you really think he can be as good as LFT + Russian Ron Burgundy combined? He hasn't even played a minute at the point. And he's going to have to really be great to score more than Frank.
Now if you want to compare this guy to Lango GallonWeigh...

Which version of Ron's hair. I believe he had a permed hairdo at one point. Amirite?

Re: The Next Official All things Frank Ntilikina Thread
Frank's play really comes down to whether the Knicks will have a true system with plays consistently run next season or not. Frank is not a freestyle player and thrives in a set system. He knows how to read a defense and make the right play because he knows where everyone is supposed to be.

Re: The Next Official All things Frank Ntilikina Thread
The difference between France and NYC is that in France roles are well defined, and all the players know what they have to bring.
Coach Collet said it to the players on a video before a game "what you need to do is reflect on how can you make your teamates better, how can you adjust the best for the good of the team ?"
That's the kind of environment that Ntilikina likes because he trusts the system, the organization.

He's got LFT's strength and hustle, Ron Baker and Frank's "play the right way" on offense and defensive positioning, and Trier's scoring/fearlessness.
He's like an uber scrub. He'll be a 7th man fixture on the Knicks for a while.

Makes sense, especially if he's spending most of those minutes with Batum and Gobert. That'd be a good defensive lineup in the NBA, I can't imagine going at that in FIBA
I still hate +/- as a stat though. It's really only tangentially related to how well you play

France def has a chance against USA if someone like Fournier, De Colo or even Batum has an elite scoring game. Their defense is gonna be elite.
