Prokhorov joined the Brooklyn Nets and brought in Dmitry Razumov and Sergei Kushchenko to the club’s Board of Directors.

"Prokhorov started toying with the idea of purchasing an NBA team back in 2007,” Kushchenko noted, “and in 2008, during the Summer Olympics in Beijing, we were already holding negotiations on this issue with NBA Commissioner David Stern."

"We were looking over various options at that time," Kushchenko continued. "Among them were the New York Knicks, who asked for a bizarre sum, the Phoenix Suns and the New Jersey Nets. We decided to focus on the New Jersey Nets since it was a completely different market then in addition to the prospect of the new arena’s construction along with a full-fledged business framework."

Nice post.

Just watched Ayton's full vid and a few things stood out.

Cannot believe the turnover he's experienced already - in that clip you see Warren, Daniels, Jackson, Anderson, Ariza, Melton, Crawford, Canaan ALL playing with him. All gone. None really missed though to be fair - though I'd still like to see Crawford get an honorary bench guy (Nick Collison, Haslem level) role for the min. He's a coach on the court.

Also little disappointed to see so few Book to Ayton highlights. That should be a weapon. Hopefully Rubio sets him up cos there were so many buckets he either scrapped his way to points or it came off a broken play.

Lastly, I wish he'd cram it more. So many times he seemed to turn away from the dunk when it should be stuffed by him. He already has the feathery touch round the rim and awesome fadeaway, now let's see some Amare-level slams on people.

Dwight Howard signed with the Lakers so he could see Oubre 4x a year.

Dwight Howard choosing to wear #39 for the Lakers. Honestly surprised he didn’t pick #78, because that’s how many days from today it will be before he gets to see Kelly Oubre on the court again.

I've seen this over the last couple of days but can someone fill me in what's this connection between KO and Dwight?

I remember seeing a picture of him being there. Thanks for the vid. Book was going hard at the end.
