Presumably players on the select team would be wearing NOT-Fiba numbers. As the games are practices, by definition.

I would assume that is logical.

Regardless... the picture is from 2016, not 2019. End of story

Thoughts?

Thoughts are that he looks about the same. I dont care what reports say, unless he's standing on a scale in front of me he doesnt weigh what they say he weighs. Weight and height are exaggerated all the time in stories to generate clicks. Not trust worthy.

Weight won't change your playing style at all.

Some of best players were skinny .
Bird, mchale, KG, KD, AD.... you name it.
Kukoć entered pro career being 6'11 -185 . They called him pink panter because of skinny legs.

In same time in league you still have legit 7 footers who bang down low ( Nurkić , Jokić)
but you also have some "bullyball" players like J. Randle who is 6'9- 235 pounds.

In general if you track average size and weight, nba players did gained some weight at average until 2013, but new thrend is trimming down.

Isaac ,Bamba or whoever won't become better player by adding more weight. That's why that " prime is around 28" is myth at this point. Most players by the age of 28 actually decline and part of them peak later. There is no set "timetable of greatness" for any of them. It's just honeymoon rookie contract relation between fans and player and " legit expetations based on new, big contractt" .

Some of biggest nba stars today are all in their 30s ( Durant, Curry, Westbrook, Lebron). Lebron and Curry are 35 and 32.
Lamarcus Aldrige is comming off his best season in career, guy is 34

on other side Ibaka , Love , Bynum, Howard, Arenas, T mac , Deng... all peaked early and flamed out

Don't think people are expecting his playing style to change into some bully ball sort of player, but obviously the added weight helped with him not being as injured and lets him not bounce off of players as easily on defense/can mix it up with rebounds more.

When you are 7 footer, with looong arms and legs, adding 10-12 pounds is like adding 5 punds for normal person. It's hardly noticable.

What matters most is that he is getting stronger.

Shoulder width is more important for estetic perspective than from some strenght perspective. Remember Peković? Guy had narrow shoulders yet nobody pushed that MFer around. Ever.

Dwight has some super unique, elite genetics. This pic of him was taken when he was like 16-17 at most. Just look at that vains and arm size.

Mo isn't standing up straight but they are very similar in height.

I was hoping that we would develop him into a new age center but with Mo, we'll have to hope that both get more efficient from the outside to provide each other some space to work in the paint. Luckily both are very agile and have decent jumpers to begin with.

Bamba is looking bigger than Isaac in that pic despite Isaac having more years conditioning with NBA-level equipment/trainers/etc

Wonder why so many here want Isaac to put on mass. What makes him special is his combination of length, speed & agility. His ability to defend like a SF on the perimeter and protect the paint. The worst thing for him would be to put on mass and lose those attribrutes. He needs more strength but like Garnett, Siakam & Durant done it.
If you want him to be a strong, athletic C, he was drafted way too high. You can draft those types every year late in the 1st. round or 2nd round.
Mo needs mass because he is a C only. He doesnt have the speed to defend on the perimeter.

Siakam is 20 pounds heavier than Isaac. Garnet played 20-30 lbs heavier than ISaac. Durant is 20-30 lbs heavier than Isaac.

Mo definitely HAS the speed to hold his own on the perimeter against guards... and swallow them whole in a pick and rolls situation ever so often. JUST that he really needs to improve on his instincts and his motor on that end of the court. He's a bright kid... and Thanos has the infinity gauntlet to make things a reality. hahaha

but yeah.... i hope that isaac hits a solid 235-245 lb or so as his sustainable playing weight. That will be a good balance of strength and mass to go along with his agility, speed, and athleticism. It would be huge for him as it will allow him to play confidently against bigs and shoot.... even small forwards.

i'm excited to see the development of these two guys!
