Side note: Everyone is acting like OKC is going to be a wasteland next year. They've got a starting lineup that contains Adams, Gallo, SGA, and Chris Paul. They need frontcourt help, but they've got a lot of guards that can be used for (very) small ball or as trade chips with their approximately one zillion draft picks. That's not so terrible. And if I was a frontcourt guy that wanted to reestablish my NBA career, I'd go for OKC. Any vet min signing at SF and PF (and C) will get plenty of playing time.

Thing is, looks like Presti will dump CP to anyone who will take his contract at a moment's notice. FAs with any other options have to look elsewhere first.

That said, if CP is stuck in OKC with Adams, Gallo and SGA, they could flirt with .500, and if they were in the East, probably even make the playoffs. This Chris Paul fellow still knows a thing or two about the game. If he were on the Sixers, they win the East in a walk.

Gonna miss Shai. OKC is a team that could actually be pretty decent if they can stay healthy and depending on how much improved SGA is.

Assuming Roberson is fit to go, a starting lineup of Paul/SGA/Roberson/Gallo/Adams is actually quite decent. We'll see how Paul and Gallo hold up health wise though.

Feels like Shai will, someday, return to the Clippers.
Don't know what in scenario but he'll be a Clipper again.

SGA Among SI's Noted Snubs in Top-100 Rankings

Post#30 » by Ranma » Tue Sep 10, 2019 5:51 am

Rob Mahoney, Sports Illustrated (9/9/19)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder: Of all the young players under consideration, Gilgeous-Alexander felt the least predictable. His developmental arc is as amorphous as his game. Somehow, Gilgeous-Alexander is not quite a point guard, not quite a shooting guard, and not quite a combo guard, either, at least in the classic sense of the archetype. Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess, though there’s a lot to like in the way he feels out the game.
