A player shooting mostly mid-range shots (without getting to the line or shooting any threes) and hitting them at a 40-50% clip is not efficient at all, and the stats show that.
I can deal with people thinking he's the franchise player, thinking he deserves to be the #1 option every year, a bunch of stuff that I may or may not disagree with, but making him out to be an efficient player is a straight up manipulation of stats.
People can think whatever they want. You put any other deserving allstar on this roster, with high to decent usage, and Vuc disappears from being a #1 option entirely. People act like Vuc hasn’t been in the most advantageous situation imaginable for a big man with a somewhat limited skill set. He was great last season, but our second most reliable option offensively was TRoss off the bench on nights he was hot.
Vuc and Ross carried Orlando last season. When he was limited in the playoffs the Magic struggled immensely because this FO has continuously failed to address the lack of playmaking and offensive production. This offseason was no different.
