Regardless of the translation to real NBA games, it looks like he made the jumper the number one priority. The upper body looks awkward, but his footwork is far better than it was.

Nevertheless, becoming a 70% FT shooter is more important to me than hitting an occasional step back midrange jumper.

Folks are looking for him to have the perfect stroke and form but that's something he can work on over the years to come and fine tune it bit by bit with our new shooting coaches and his own coach Chris Johnson. The key thing that's improved Is his spring off the ground and instead of twisting the ball with his palm on release he's pushing it forward with finger tips now. Those were two of the major reasons why his jumper was so bad. In his rookie year he was actually decent from midrange so just getting back to that is vital for Ben and then he can improve from there.

I think it's Darius Garland, the #5 pick.

It's crazy how Ben Simmons is now an allstar on a max contract that the young Klutch clients are looking up to.

Sounds like he has made some progress, but as many have said, all that matters is if he can replicate it in a real game.

Yeah his shot in those clips obviously looks better, but the whole point is whether he can repeat it consistently and improve on it. We will find out soon enough!

If Ben doesnt have any plan to shoot 3s next season, he wouldnt post these workout clips. Thats my biggest takeaway.

He’s going to shoot those 3s. How good he will be on making those 3s is a big question mark, given how below average he is as a FT shooter.

Realistically, maybe he makes 3s as good as Embiid and in that case, I hope Embiid will be a much improved 3pt shooter than he was last season.

I mean.. it’s hard to expect him being a good 3pt shooter next season when he makes bad misses and shoot poorly from the ft line in the last two seasons.

The point that he’s releasing these clips is because he has intention in shooting those 3s next season.

If he doesnt shoot 3s next season, it’s because he isnt making them at a rate Brett want him to make in practice.

And if he ever shoot those 3s, id expect him to shoot at Biid’s rate of shooting 3s which is at the 30% mark.

who got this right handed kid shooting left handed jumpers to begin with? he had a chance to switch back while he was rehabbing his first year with us. too late now. there are some successful righties turned lefties in other sports (Nadal), so it ain't impossible.

Ben Simmons Shoots a long 3 in the 1st minute then sprinkles in about 10 turnaround fadeaway jumpers throughout.

Looks like he's running with: Tristan Thompson, Rodney Hood, Delon Wright, Taj Gibson, Eric Moreland, Andrew Harrison, Dwayne Bacon, Devonte Graham, Darius Garland and Miles Bridges.

Ben just looks like he’s on a whole different tier on those clips.

I think his mid range can translate given he’s hitting them with confidence being defended. Would be interesting if Brett would allow those shots.

Comparing it with Hood’s frequency and makes, I dont think he’s making that much but it sure is progress.

I guarantee you it's not going to be Brett who is going to tell Ben not to take mid range or 3 point shots. I feel that is reserved more for players who have no conscience and will take whatever shot they can get. Ben is different, he needs to confidence. To tell Ben that he's not ready yet, is only going to stifle that confidence. They need to be nurturing him and letting him know that he can be vulnerable on the court, and that the team is will to give up a few points, runs, or games, so that Ben can develop. Unless he's taking them in game he's not going to improve. I see no sense in letting him keep doing that in practice, but not in a real game.
