This is just shocking. Was such a fantastic talent but injuries took a toll.

Whoa. This is the most shocking surprise retirement since Barry Sanders in ‘99 tbh. And one week before the season begins... wild.

This is crazy. I feel sorry for all those fantasy drafts that have already happened. That's why I like to wait as long as possible...that and injuries.

Yeah, a year younger than Sanders, though he was injured a lot more than Sanders.

hes the most overrated QB of all time. Couldn't stay healthy, no PO success, he gets by on his reputation/name/being white than actual (successful) results on the field. Drafting him and kicking Manning to the curb turned out to be one of the worst moves in the history of the NFL considering Manning won a SB after he left IND and Colts did nothing

Lol bad take. He was the greatest QB prospect since Manning himself... trading Peyton was 100% the right move considering his age, neck surgeries and the fact that the Colts weren’t contenders anymore. They were in transition/rebuild mode.

And the reason Luck “couldn’t stay healthy” was because the Colts organization trotted him out for 5 straight years without a single decent O-Line. Dude took a beating year in and year out unlike any other QB in the league. That’s the organization’s fault.

He’s not an all-time great QB, but he was a damn good one in his short time in the league. And he could’ve been an all-time great if not for all these injuries. I personally hope he enjoys retirement and wish him well in his next chapter, whatever that may be.

Whoa, that was out of left field.

I think he may come back eventually, but we'll see.

As a fan, I'm bummed we lost our centerpiece but I don't blame him one bit. I hope he recovers physically and mentally. Thank you Luck for everything.

The king's ransom in return for Luck would've been nice to build around Manning as well
