Donovan Mitchell is so disrespected for some reason. By far the best offensive player on a strong western conference team, weird. Chris Paul is finished, and he plays for a awful team... makes no sense.

I think it's pretty close in terms of regular season value. I also think I'd much rather have Paul in the playoffs in that scenario since there's a better than 58/77 chance that Paul will stay healthy through the playoffs when he's not just taking time off for every minor injury to save himself for the games that matter and he gives your team a much higher ceiling when he does play.

I'd be better at my job if I worked 3 days a week instead of 5 too.

Chris Paul not staying healthy in the postseason is one of the biggest knocks on his career.

I think 19/30 teams would be better adding Mitchell instead of Paul and 11/30 would be better with Paul than Mitchell.

I don't mean to come of as a CP3 hater. I'm just trying to say he misses alot of games. Plays a position with high replacement value. Has a "super role player" skill set.

Donovan is, in my opinion, a tier 2 #1 scorer (which I see as a more valuable skill set). Donovan has been an iron man so far in his young NBA career. And plays a position with less depth league wide.

I’d say on teams contending for a championship, Paul >>> Mitchell

On teams fighting for the 8 seed, Mitchell > Paul

On teams that are gonna be in the lottery anyway, they’re the same because those teams don’t care about next year anyway. If you wanna say the Knicks would win 28 games with Mitchell and 26 with Paul, OK great, but I don’t really think that’s super relevant to who the better player is.

I'm honestly not trying to argue. I'm just trying to communicate my point.

When I sort players by best overall I think of it like an NBA 2k fantasy draft, for one year. Who would I pick first.

CP3 is a glue guy at this stage and is a great #3 for title contenders for teams (like you said) with the #25 pick in a 2K draft your not a title contender based on any singular players brilliance.

Maybe it's a snake draft and you pick up CP3 at pick 25 and get someone he compliments well at pick 35.

But with Mitchell you get your building block at 25 and you hope a guy like Conley, Lowry, Fox, Paul, Morant, Brogdan, Holiday, Murray, McCollum, Beverly, etc. Are there at 35 or later.

I do think CP3 on a per minute basis is still near the top of that list though.

Or maybe they had a top 3 guy and two 25-40 guys as well as a deep well fitting roster? Maybe they were a buzzer beater in a game 7 away from losing in the 2nd round? Maybe they would have lost to GSW even without KD if Klay didn't get hurt?

Drummond, Porzingis or Booker > Pascal or Lowry imo

We will went through Orlando, Philly and Milwaukee. Had the hardest playoff path. It isn't all about the GS series.

Considering Dallas will have 2 players better than the Raps best, there's no reason for them to be a worse team (even when accounting for conference), and i'd imagine the smart bet is that they will be. How do you reconcile that?

And you realize even with the injuries, the Raps beat the next 2 best teams in the NBA with Philly post trades and Milwaukee. Impressove, especially when very few 'experts' had them coming out of the East

What kind of silly argument is it that the team with the best two players is automatically the better team?

If your going to ask questions put thought into them.

Dallas has the better top two but 3-15 favors Raptors pretty handily. The Raptors also have chemistry from playing together. The Raptors are also in the easier conference.

What annoys me about Lowry and Siakam getting into the top 25 is they weren't looking like they would make it into the top 25 and then Raptors fans make a concerted effort to change the results.

Like if a bunch of Lakers fans used their numbers to have Kobe put onto the top 5 list.

Y'all were a 50+ win team for about half a decade. Then traded one of your franchises most loyal and products players ever, for come year rental of an MVP contender.

Your team almost lost in the second round and then beat the regular season win leaders and the actual MVP in the ECF. In the finals your team played against the best dynasty since MJ but that team was missing it's (arguably) best and third best players. Their starting 5 missed most of the series and their backup 5 played through a broken collar bone.
