He's played well in most all the games he got a lot of minutes. Just probably tougher to have to jump into the starting role against starters and adjust. He did fine against backups for the most part.
Neither of our rookie PGs have played much and they are both sure to have their ups and downs. I'm glad Melton finally came alive
after being so bad.
Not to my eyes. I've liked Melton from the jump. I know you'll spout stats, which is weird given the frequency of discussion about sample size around here.
I am the mayor of Melton Island and I look forward to seeing all the asylum applications from Okobo Island in the next couple weeks. Either I'm ridiculous, or y'all are.
You're right, he hasn't played that much so playing poorly didn't matter much, even if you felt he played well. His only game before the last one with a substantial number of minutes he shot 3-12 and 1-6 from 3. But even if you just look at ORTG and DRTG by month, you can see Oct and Nov were not pretty.
Oct Net Rtg a -55
Nov a little better at -29
Dec much better at +32
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/m/meltode01/splits/2019No doubt last game by him was the best by either of them, however it was mostly after getting down by 30 when the Kings had let the foot off the gas and played down their bench.
I don't know if you are on an island. A lot of people high on Melton and a lot high on Okobo. Kerrsed was high on Melton and a number of people on twitter, like Max from 7SOL pod.
It's not like you are on the Derrick Jones Jr island again thinking he was our future SF or some of the other hot takes.
My only worry about Melton was his shooting and turnovers but those were not issues the last game so hopefully he keeps it up.
