He's just jealous that despite being named Athletics, everyone on the Warriors is leagues more athletic than he is.

I mean who cares? I really don't care what free giveaways millionaires don't get. Also really, is he going to try and compare giving away tickets to an A's game to giving away tickets to a warriors game? I can get 8th row tickets right behind home plate for $60 the next A's game. When was the last time you could find a seat anywhere in Oracle for $60 bucks? Preseason nose bleeds seats are going for $200 in the new stadium. You're looking for $1.5k to get anywhere close to the court for a preseason game.

Sorry but I really have no sympathy when rich athletes complain about not getting enough free handouts.

Playoff baseball has easily been better than playoff basketball recently.

Except for 2019...

I'd bet on baseball being better this year too. The 2019 NBA playoffs weren't all that great.

I love threads that act like Warrior fans never knew what life was like before winning. Warrior fans remember those days, just like Pepperidge Farms remembers. These are Warrior fans before KD or Curry were even in the league.

The Warriors have always had a loyal, hardcore fanbase. In fact, one of the reasons that Chris Cohan (1 playoff appearance in 15 seasons) was able to own the team for so long and was still profitable despite all his losing was because Warrior fans were loyal and still showed up in large numbers.

Did they "gain" a bunch of bandwagon fans once they became successful? Of course they did. Just like the Bulls did during the MJ days and just like the Lakers have always attracted the casual onlookers. Don't blame any franchise or the hardcore fans for people who hopped on the bandwagon. It would be far more arrogant to tell people "you guys aren't the true fans, please stay off our bandwagon."

clowns repeating stupid twitter narratives, GSW always, ALWAYS had the best crowds, pre Curry pre Durant pre Kerr...

this was THE GOAT crowd, bar none:

in fact the last couple of years the crowds have actually been worse because the real fans have been priced out.

I mean he sounds like a whiny little brat but not surprised with a claim that a professional sports organization collectively might think their **** don't stink

I don't think it's expecting special treatment for no reason, it's expecting the Warriors to reciprocate.

The 2019 NBA playoffs were actually the greatest in league history. By a large margin.

It's not really a secret that Joe Lacob is an arrogant ass who touches himself to his own reflection in the mirror. That attitude tends to trickle down throughout the entire organization. But he's been very successful so maybe he's earned the right to be arrogant.

Personally I don't care very much about baseball, but many people do.

There are nba fans. There are MLB team fans. So yeah, they might get similar viewership but at the same time, nobody cares about baseball.

Doesn’t surprise me at all though. Aren’t most Warriors fans and personnell newcomers or bandwagon people who would have no recollection of the times prior to them becoming good? That type of person isn’t big on taking care of other teams in honor of times when the situations were reversed - cause they have zero perspective on that situation.

Winning or losing, they're tickets to a game given to guys worth millions of dollars. That's just idiotic. Sell them to people who want to pay for them!

So if I work in accounting, I can get my taxes done for free out of professional courtesy?

Really nothing you can do about that. The team still has to be run like a business. I mean, with these luxury tax bills, it's not like the Warriors have a choice.

Also people need to remember that the Warriors PRIVATELY FINANCED THEIR NEW ARENA.

In an age when every sports fan in America complains about team owners holding a city/fanbase hostage by demanding public funds for a new stadium/arena, the Warriors completely financed their arena privately and did it in some of the most expensive real estate in the world.

Stop it you aren’t important lol

Professional athletes and celebrities have to worry about dudes lurkin. Its pretty rude to just treat them like that. If they play for the city just give them love. Especially if they do the same for you.

If I'm not important, they are less so. They're entertainers...they're not special, their job adds zero real value. It's something fun for us to waste time on and that's really it. And they don't play for the city. They play for an owner at a company in the city.

and lol "lurkin"

I liken it to the football team not being jerks to the basketball team and vice versa at a high school. Like if one team was really good and the other team was just average and the good team walked around treating all the other teams like crap imagine what colossal jerks they would be. Think that’s what he talking about.

But he's not saying the team's players were dicks. It's more like complaining that the history teacher - who's also the football coach - didn't let him cut class cause he's on the baseball team when the math teacher - who's also the baseball coach - did.

Actually, most of them seem like cool dudes. Draymond is a loud mouth and the owner thinks he's got 12 incher but the rest of them do a lot of good things in their communities, keep their noses clean and are well spoken.
