I think I literally hate you now, @jammma. Literally. This is a sad day. Truly sad.

If you hang out after the next game, I'm sure one of Coach's hugs will make it all better.

AP NewsNCAA hits Ga Tech with postseason ban, 4 years of probation
Georgia Tech coach Josh Pastner still has the support of his athletic director even after the Yellow Jackets basketball team was slapped with NCAA sanctions Thursday, including a ban on postseason play for upcoming season.
Dealing a major blow to Pastner’s efforts to rebuild the struggling Atlantic Coast Conference program, the NCAA hit Georgia Tech with four years of probation for major recruiting violations committed by Pastner’s former assistant coach and an ex-friend.
The sanctions handed down by the NCAA also included a reduction in scholarships, limits on recruiting and a fine of $5,000 plus 2% of the program’s budget,
Pastner was not directly named in the NCAA’s findings and was largely cleared in Georgia Tech’s own investigation.
Longtime women’s coach MaChelle Joseph was suspended late last season and then fired after the school said it learned of alleged mistreatment of players and staff, as well as possible NCAA violations.

This too shall pass ... however ... lemme get a couple things straight ...
So GT had to vacate an ACC title in football over $400 worth of clothes?
And are now on 4 YEARS probation based on $300 in a strip club?
But we got Kansas and LSU on tape discussing paying dudes 5-figures and we got Duke players families living in million-dollar, gated communities after having "turned down" 6-figure payments?
But GT is the one on probation? Our $700 in violations must be pretty dang bad, huh?
All these programs getting popped for recruiting all the players that end up at Duke. Yeah, ok.
In the immortal words of ESPNJacket, "Free never wins a bidding war."
In case anyone's not noticing what's going on, Stu Jackson gave a glimpse into why certain programs avoid punishment when he described the NCAA's financial structure.
92% of the NCAA's revenue is earned in March and April. IOW, they depend almost exclusively on revenue generated by the NCAA tournament. If you are a team that makes the tournament most years and have a large enough fanbase, you can commit bloody murder in the streets and it'll take a act of freaking gawd for the NCAA to even bat an eye in your general direction.
Generally, if one of their favorite sons gets caught with their hands in the cookie jar, their modus operendi is to hammer the next non-blue blood program in an attempt to pretend like they're "tough on crime".
In reality, they exist to make money off the tournament and will protect that golden goose at all costs. It's why they suddenly announced today that they're gonna slow down on naming schools they'll investigate from the FBI stuff. Why? Because they tried Kansas and Kansas snapped back.
The NCAA's toothless arse caved in less than a day .. then they remembered our hearing was yesterday so they had the opportunity to flex their muscles on a team that happens to no longer be a perennial tourney team. Bad luck for us.
And I'll say this to my brothers in Athens, be careful. If you go the route you're going (let's not pretend the #1 prospect in the nation isn't being paid), better make sure you stay competitive. Otherwise, you will become a scapegoat if the heat is turned up on the blue bloods.
Make no mistake, I'm not passing judgment. I'm at the point where I want us to cheat but to do it well. Why not, at this point? The NCAA has proven they don't care if you're clean.
