We got probably the strongest rotation we've ever had (of course Dirk was something else) and just beat Australia by 10 points.

Our starting Lineup with Schroeder, Akpinar, Zipser, Kleber and Theis should be pretty good and our Bench also got some solid Euroleagueguys like Voigtmann, Barthel and Lo and the other guys played Eurocup. Not all the sexy names but our chemistry is good and everybody knows their role, so i hope we can finish in the Top8. I know Schroeder is a punchline here, but he played really well in the last Fiba tournament, were most guards couldn't stop him so let's see what he can do this time with Theis as his Rollman.

An upset against France in the opener would be amazing.. let's go guys! :)

I think Germany is good and most underrated team here. I wouldn't be surprised you win some medal

So, apparently FIBA is considering plans to replace 5x5 basketball with 3x3 basketball by 2028 Olympics

Just a senseless rumor. Soccer Olympics are U-23 tournament, so basketball tournament is by far most anticipated team sport at Olympics. Actually, together with Ice Hockey, but that is the Winter Olympics anyway.

Source is one of founders of Lithanian 3x3 federation. Apparently it will depend on how successful 3x3 at 2020 Olympics will be

I think all the games will be streamed here for free - https://www.magentasport.de/aktion/wm2019
German commentary, but better that than nothing for those without broadcasts, I guess.

I think Germany is great at basketball, they just don't know it yet :)
Huge talent pool, lots of tall guys, great sporting tradition, funds and infrastructure, they just haven't loved the game enough yet. Sounds like a bit of a niche sport over there, but Dirk sparked an interest, they probably need the next success to keep the momentum going.

Unfortunately not. It always surprises me that such a great sport like basketball doesn't have a bigger tradition worldwide.

If Nigeria loses this, which seems likely, it's on the coach for playing fatass Ike Diogu over Ekpe Udoh. The guy's tanking the team on both ends of the floor.

Some of those possessions were terrible, what were they thinking, Nigeria had this in the bag, sad.

Rubio has been great all summer, in the past he never looked all that great offensively in FIBA play. Can this be a turning point for him?
And who watches Jazz a lot, how come his assist numbers sow low, his passing is extraordinary.
