Klay's quite easily the best player out of the options.

Vucevic is so underrated. He is the only franchise player of the playoff team which is still not chosen here (if we ignore Oladipo case with his injury problem).

I nominate Jamal Murray. He signs already a max-deal extension for Nuggets so he has nothing to calculate as sometimes players do in their contract year. Expected 20+4+4+ in elite team should be enough for TOP30, not just for TOP40.

Can’t say I see much of a case for McCollum. FWIW, the reason he ranks so low is that his defense is consistently poor year after year. He ranks 53/63, 72/83, and 70/107 defensively at his position. He ranked 23, 43, and 33 overall offensively.

Can anyone really argue with this? His numbers have been similar to the other 3 guys, arguably better, arguably worse, but at least in line. Meanwhile, all 3 are excellent top tier defenders while McCollum is maybe a bottom 15% defender at one of the weaker defensive positions. How can he possibly make up that gulf defensively?

Remember, we are projecting for next season. Victor isn’t coming back until sometime in 2020. Otherwise he’d be on the list already. Horford is 33 and on a new team where he will be the second best big, so a performance decline is expected. Vuc is a fair point, I think people remember CJ’s playoff performance where he was the main reason Portland beat The higher seeded Nuggets and are rewarding him for that.

Yeah, I’m a little scared of Oladipo’s injury myself. I would have voted for Vucevic if I didn’t get scared off by his playoff performance. But I feel like at the very least, Horford’s a better safe pick off of back-to-back top 20 RPM seasons than McCollum who’s never come close to that level.

Nobody of the Spurs has been chosen yet either, and D'Angelo Russell was last year's franchise player for his playoff team and has not even been nominated yet. Same is true for last year's Clippers team.

And Orlando was only a playoff team because the East was trash. Those teams Power mentioned were all better than they were (though the Nets only barely)

Spurs have two about equally impactful players Aldridge and DeRozan, and who was Clippers "franchise player" last season (Tobias? Galo? Lou? Harrell?)? Russell was clearly best Nets player last season, but his role in that team was not so important as Vucevic in Orlando, because Brooklyn was TOP3 deepest team last season with 10 players scoring 8.5+ ppg while in Orlando only 6 players scored 7+ ppg!

I don't see the argument for CJ right here. My pick would be Vuc...but I understand the argument for Oladipo depending on his injury and Fox/Booker as potential plays.

Vucevic would easily win this if Gasol hadn't taken his lunch in the first round.

How can anyone be voting DeRozan?

There's no way he's better than his teammate LMA - let alone anyone else on this list and many others.

Once again - the guy makes his teams worse when he's on the court. There's no way that's excusable imo. He is not a player you want on a championship team.

I voted fox - I think people are sleeping on his potential development. I might be way off - but I think he's a future top 15 player for sure.

Nominate Tobias Harris

Vucevic would be taken already if he were a guard or small forward.
