Good luck with that Vucevic contract Orlando. 14 shot attempts, one trip to foul line, classic Vooch

Tatum is such a creative driver but he does himself such a great disservice by not using fundamentals of the glass! Missed bunnies drive me crazy. Hopefully he learns quickly to get into using the glass habit.

US lack willing passers. Barnes, Brown, Tatum, Turner. Still waiting for them to pass out of a drive.

Yeah. Had Chezh have Vesely it would be a pretty close game. Czech are solid, but nothing special. If US keep playing like that, Serbia will blow them out.

I don't understand why Voigtmann doesn't start for Germany, he is better than Theis.

I think it's only on ESPN+

I'll live without it.
156-1 Celtics are frauds when pressure is put on them. They would have been toast if Luka was not stupid enough to foul himself out. Enjoy this ONE finals win. There will never be another with the Js and the Celtics cant afford stacked team.
Fun crowd.

Tatum needs some one-on-one time with Chip after this game.

I don't see any chances for this USA team against Serbia. I think Spain would beat them as well.Australia/Lithuania/France/Greece might have a shot too.

I like how these tournaments always remind you how good NBA players are. I think some Americans fail to realize that fact, because they accustomed to super talents joining the league quickly, what I mean by that that there arent many steps for Americans to join NBA, it starts with highschool, then usually 1 season in college and then you are NBA players. Makes it sound easy and in the past we legit had fans who thought they could outplay NBA player/s (Scalabrine)

I feel that overseas fans get more sense of how good NBA players are. Our players usually start with being junior level stars, then they become PRO role players, then stars in domestic leagues, then maybe join stronger team in stronger league, become star there, then he gets NBA job and is role player there. That makes it clear of how good NBA really is.

He’s a hit or miss there. The inconsistency drives me nuts.

Some notes from usa's first game;

Barnes @ center is intriguing, i wonder how the look will do matched up vs a better shooting or skilled team.

Derrick white is going to need to be very aggressive on the second unit. While the second unit looks to be monstrous defensively when pairing him with smart, they dont really have any great individual creators on it. Joe harris will come off pin down actions, brook will screen... but the onus of the offense will come from the lead guard imo.

Tatum looked kind of soft on both ends, he needs to get use to the physicality and focus more on finishing through contact. also defensively he was in the wind, same could be said for mitchell. Both those young guys really had trouble negating screens and contributing as team defenders.

Kemba had some nice highlights, he is unguardable.
