A little surprised the pack didn't pick up an inside linebacker (and they still might). Could be a sign burkes is close to returning also I imagine they will run mostly 3-3-5 looks as their base so it's not as pressing of a need.

They have already stated they like Raven Greene in the non base coverage linebacker position. I don't think there is a guy they liked as anything more than a special teamer, because there is no way they want to see Crawford on the field actually playing WILB during the season.

The cuts were pretty straight forward. I would say the most surprising keeper was Cole Madison. Williams beat out Carson, but I'm not certain it is by all that much. They were probably more comfortable with their ability to get Carson to practice squad. I think in Lazard vs. Shep -- you always keep the guy that is going to help you on the field now, and Shep is much more of a special teams player than Lazard. Fadol Brown making the team was a little bit of a surprise, but not as much after we traded Reggie Gilbert. I thin kthey were comfortable with getting either Ramsey or Jones to the practice squad in case they need bodies there during the season.

Does he take Burks spot until he returns or who gets cut?

Goodson was about to be cut, Pack wanted to make sure they got him. If it's more than a 7th though it would suck.

BJ Goodson has some good film in the pros. Certainly a guy who can play on an NFL roster. I never want to see a guy like James Crawford seeing real minutes on this team.
