Canada did good job taking Valanciunas and Sabonis out of equation, but Lithuania's perimeter players outplaying Joseph and the rest of Canadians.

I think the way they just let Ulanovas drive to his left reveals the lack of scouting outside of Valanciunas/Sabonis.

Screw all the guys who dont show up but are playing in gyms somewhere. This is why soccer>basketball and will always be a bigger game.

Who the hell wouldnt want to represent your country in the olympics?

Tbh both teams play kind of poorly. Just Canada is worse.

They wdid well on stopping JV and Sabonis but again Sabonis and JV when they share the court are kind of stopping themselves already, you just have to not get in their way.

Surprisingly itsthe small forward and shooting guard positions that hurt canada the most.

What matters if they beat senegal or not? Only first two teams make out of the group.

Weve got enough guys espousing Canada and their pride in being Canadian who dont show up. Dont need a guy who has no interest being Canadian adding to it.

Also, hes not good

JV and sabonis didnt play together much, and I dont think they are that bad of the fit together as this 4th quarter shows.

Well, we'll take any talent we can get. Can't be too choosy with our situation. Also, I think Brazdeikis could be very solid in FIBA play.

Respect to Canada for putting a good fight. The lack of bench was crucial. With Murray and Thompson Canada would be a problem, a top 10 team. Hopefully we won't get you in the qualifying tournament. Hopefully Maciulis retires soon.
Nice to see Valanciunas getting lots of rest time, too. Kuzminskas was atrocious. To sum up, an awful game by Lithuania.

I think even getting 1-2 of your NBA guys to play would be a game changer. Cory Joseph is just not enough.

Doesn’t it take place during the NBA season?

The Senegal and 17-32 classification games matter because the overall finish matters in terms of qualifying for the last-chance Olympic qualifying tournaments that will be held next summer.

What a sh*t effort. This team needed to play with fire from the hop and didnt.

Wiltjer only guy to show up really. Team looked better with pangos as lead guard in exhibition. Prime dribble into the abyss was on display by corey joe; he played alittle better in the 4th but just too little too late.

I've just never known anything other than disappointment from our mens team ...yet it still hurts.

I didnt say rupture an acl. I said play for that country then. How's that salty? Weve got enough guys who say they want to play for Canada (even from immigrant families, gasp) and dont show up. He says he doesn't want to play for Canada- or be Canadian- and doesnt show up, so why fight over his rights. As I said, take him.
