WEEK 1 - BEARS vs packers - Thursday Sept. 5 7:20PM CST

BEAR DOWN!

Here's what I'm looking forward to seeing:
-How Ha Ha looks: If he's a bust here, I fully expect the Bears to play Deon Bush a ton. He was an absolute monster in the pre-season and I think that if Ha Ha was outplaying him in practice, we're going to be amazed at this defense.

-What's going on at TE: How's Shaheen look? Is Trey Burton ok? Burton has had a hard time recovering from his surgery and Shaheen hasn't been able to stay on the field so far in his career. Scary at how this could shake out.

-How's this offense look: The O-Line has no question marks which is a great thing, Trubisky should be way more comfortable than last year and there's so many weapons with Robinson, Miller, Cohen, Montgomery, Gabriel and even Wims.

-Can the defense keep growing: I think both Floyd and Smith can both take major steps forward. Floyd because he's 100% healthy and Smith because he's a freak that didn't play at all in the pre-season last year.

What are y'all looking forward to?!

Every year in early September, I take a trip to Door County, WI with my son and a bunch of my long-time friends and their sons. We stay at a golf resort and do about what you’d expect.

I leave tomorrow. On Thursday night, our merry band will be at a local bar in enemy territory.

Can’t f’in wait.

Im looking forward to seeing the improvements in the offense under the white hot spotlight Nagy has put on them.

I also want to see what wrinkles teams like the pack will put in their game plans on the 3rd time they get to see Mack and Nagys offense

Not sure of the accuracy but it seems feasible: Packers will run Ol Coach Mac's offense with different play calls and A12 will call the entire 2 min offense. Lafleur's offense will be sprinkled in using some play option and bunch formations. Bears have seen alot of both of those types of offenses.

Have fun! Go Bears! Eat some whitefish for me. I love those Door County Fish Boils with the potatoes and onions and lemon butter. I miss that.

Looking forward to seeing Floyd and Montgomery. Those two seem to have generated the most buzz coming out of camp from teammates and coaches.

Also, we’re slowly clicking up the hill on the Eddy Pineiro roller coaster. Fingers crossed.

Dix and Miller. If I see them online and good, I'm good. Also Whitehair and Daniels inside. After they put Daniels at center, it felt like I got a pebble out of my shoe finally

What Rogers did to us 2nd half of the OMG Mack game will make any lead tomorow feel fake. Maybe we should play from behind.

The city just feels like it's going to explode if the Bears can dominate today.

This could be the start of a VERY special year. Let's it enjoy it y'all!

Made a fantasy style rotation for the bears skill players. FB play is the only outlier. According to the bears depth chart it’s not a big deal as it’s not listed. Just in case though FB play would or should be supplemented with TEs and\or backup running backs.

Qb) mitch-59 Daniel’s-1
Rb1) Cohen-49 Davis-11
Rb2) Davis-30 Montgomery-30
Wr1) Robinson-48 Patterson-12
Wr2) Miller-48 Patterson-12
Te) shaheen-40 Braunuauker-20
Flex) Gabriel)48 Patterson-12

Just learning about Patterson but he a a former x2 allpro and pro bowler as a special teamer so it’s a nice weapon to have.
For the most part I envision The offense working best with Mitch out of the gun as I feel it gives him a beat on the rush.

Even though we finally beat them once, they are stil our Daddy until...I'm not sure what has to happen. But they still our Daddy right now! We had to win in the post season some to get them off us a little.

Just for fun, here is a front 7 rotation, I like Mack coming off the left side and would consider it the blitzing linebacker position with Lloyd playing mostly off the ball.

RDe)Hicks-55 Lynch-5
Nt)Goldman-55 Harris-5
LDe)Nichols-55 Lynch-5

Lolb) Mack-55 Floyd-5
Ilb) trevathan-55 kwiatowski-5
Ilb) Roquan-55 kwiatowski-5
Rolb) Floyd-50 Lynch-10

Secondary) I know McMannis isn’t listed as a safety but I trust him more than others at corner. Mostly because the other guys I havent heard of.

S)Jackson-55 bush-5
S)Dix-55 Bush-5
Cb)Fuller-55 Mcmannis-5
Cb)Prince-55 Mcmannis-5

Don’t really think Cohen should be returning kicks when he is so valuable on offense.

Trubisky looks like Trubisky. Rogers looks like Rogers.

This seems familiar. Bears get pressure on Rogers. Line starts blocking. Rogers goes to work.
