Watching Rubio and Hackett guard each other... all that great defense wasted on one another.

Man, Spain just looks slow out there. Gotta think the atlhetic teams will eat them up unless they get hot from outside.

Llull is not exactly known as great defender. And Hackett doesn’t need to be guarded by great defender. ;)

The teams can just agree to play 4 vs 4, it'll be the same :D

Marc Gasol is such a passive player.

Belinellis decisions are really questionable.

Typical Italy. They live and die by the three.

Belinelli's optimized value is as a catch and shoot player. When he's put into a creative role you get these types of games.

I just want us to destroy Spain on Sunday. Our worst period in history matched with their best and they were killing us pretty much everywhere we met for quite some time. Now is the moment to restore everything as it was before Pau, Navarro, Garbajosa and co. and keep annihilating them whenever we meet in the future.

Refs saved Spain. I watched them against Italy and Iran and i am not impressed . Gasol is only player that really make difference on their team.

Gasol only scored 2 points, and it was in last minute. They don't have anyone who can consistently get them buckets, but they defend well.

Italy played like trash. You can't allow yourself to live by the decisions of Gentile and Belinelli after his 3rd idiotic shot. Belinelli can hit ridiculous shots at any time, but you shouldn't let him free-flow over the likes of Gallinari or even Datome, if they are playing. Jesus Christ, up by 4, foul+free_throws, idiotic 3, idiotic 3, Spain up by 4. That was it.
Vitali is always playing for the other team, I wonder why Sacchetti didn't try Filloy.

I'm rooting for Serbia now.

They look like that 2012 Argentina team. Still able to beat weaker opponents, and still capable of a good result in a big tournament, depending on how the luck goes with what teams they play. But overall very old, slow and tired looking.

And Rubio...he's only 28 and he looked like the least athletic player on the floor. What in the hell? He peaked like 7 to 8 years before most players and now he's lost any athleticism he ever had at 28? It's like he's aging quicker than normal people.

Had that pass when they were losing by 4 and some other plays in clutch in both games

As for Belineli...in all these years you would think Italy could find a better wing than him. He's been absolute trash with their national team for years and years now. It's really sad that a country that used to be so strong in basketball can't find someone to replace him.

He did, his IQ and skill are not questionable, but he is not the same player he once was. 2 points against this undersized Italian team shows just how passive he is. They won't get far if he doesn't step up.
