Those weren't even truly A USA teams.A full Usa team would massacre Serbia. The emergence of Jokic as a superstar isnt enough to make a difference.

Yeah, they are not even close to Spain 2004-2016
That was the only team that consistently gave USA a real challenge

I am going to say that Lithuania was the toughest USA opponent for the last 20 years.

Spain and Argentina more likely.

2000 Olympics, USA dominates everyone, wins semis by 2 against Lithuania, Jasikevcius misses a game winning 3
2004 OLympics, Lithuania beats USA in group stage, loses bronze game
2012 USA dominates everyone, wins against Lithuania by 5 by LeBron James heroics at the end.

Lithuania definitely gave USA problems.

They're a lot slower and Czech are pushing the pace, no way they come even close to coming back.

45-32 after half-time?!? This just can't be true.

Our team unfortunately has a reputation of giving up big leads, if Brazil can amp up the pressure at the beginning of the 3rd, things can get interesting. I dont know if Brazil is physically capable of that though

That's the problem, Brazil looks cooked, like 3 steps slower.

The second round of one of the least talented WCs in the last 30 years hasn't even finished, and people (rather young, I guess) here are arguing whether Serbia is better than a team that dominated Europe for over a decade, and that was as close as possible to the second best team ever assembled in basketball history.

SMH.

Least talented? Thats quite a statement, most teams are at or near full strength, doesnt happen very often.

Well, Satoransky is phenomenal, that is a big part, guys like Bohacik and Balvin are playing at their absolute ceiling and the team has plenty of experience together and is well-coached. Big part of it is Brazilian vets looking done :D
