Dude I have no idea. Before tournament I said if we could win against Japan I'd be satisfied.

Well, Satoransky is phenomenal, that is a big part, guys like Bohacik and Balvin are playing at their absolute ceiling and the team has plenty of experience together and is well-coached. Big part of it is Brazilian vets looking done :D

Plus defense and will. We have like EVERY 50/50 rebounds out there.

If Greece beat USA, all 4 teams from that group will have 3 wins each before last game.
Lithuania-France today is elimination game for both teams. The most important game so far in the tournament

Not necessarily. France could lose to Lithuania, but win against Australia would make things complicated.

Always thought Satoransky was an underrated player in the NBA. A lot of teams continually started PG's worse than him. And now he's moved from one banter team in Washington to another in Chicago.

The Brazilian team is very old. Barbosa and Varejao cannot carry them throughout the tournament. They need fresh blood

What to say about USA-Japan mismatch then

I always amazed how NBA hardens players so much better sometimes. Like, I wasnt a huge Satoransky fan in Barcelona, he was just ok, but few seasons in the NBA, and he is so much better now. Same happened to Scola, De Colo and countless other players.

So let me get this straight, idk how this 2nd round thing works but bare with me:

If Greece and Brazil lose both to US, that creates a triangle with Czechia, Greece and Brazil
Czechia has 22pt win against Brazil
Brazil has 1pt win against Greece
Greece has yet to play Czechia and has -1 from Brazil game.
So, if Greece doesn't win by margin of 12 against Czechia, both them and Brazilians fall out?

Can somebody check that for me?

Does anyone from the EU know how to watch the USA vs Greece game? They don't transmit anything locally and EPSN+ isn't available my country..

the points difference from the opening group is also counted, so Greece are currently +30 and Czech republic +29

lets say greece lose by 10pts against usa, that puts them +20 so they would need a 5pt win against czech republic

Just went back to watch the highlights of the last World Cup Final in 2014 between the US and Serbia. Man, the talent disparity between that Team USA and this one is insane. People actually forget that Serbia was up 8 points in the first 5 minutes of that game, and then Kyrie happened. He just started pulling up and hitting everything and the score went from 15-7 to 19-35, lmao... Harden also came out scorching, No defense for that. Serbia got demoralized soon as the lead went above 20. Kyrie and Harden combined for 49 points on 17/23 shooting (9/11 from 3), lol.

The US misses that type of firepower in this tournament big time. I don't even think there's a player on that roster that can just take the ball and fill up the basket at will. Maybe Kemba, but he's tryna play team ball, while the 2014 had guys like Kyrie, Harden, Curry, Thompson. These guys are all impossible to guard. They just take the ball, make space, pull up and score or drive at will.

Also, as much as people like to clown Cousins and Faried, they had far more presence around the rim than any Big on this 2019 team. I like Turner, he's a solid starting C in the NBA, but Cousins is a professor compared to him when it comes to offense. Dude was a physical bully + had finesse and skill to his game, Turner has size and can block shots but he's kinda soft and clumsy. Faried was just a wad of energy. A workman that was strictly finishing plays, which is what you need when you have an overload of on-ball offensive talent as is. Now compare that to freaking Barnes, Tatum and Brown... all the same type of player. I'd rather have Trez Harrell, Julius Randle or even Thad Young.

Well, at least it will make for an interesting tourney.
