Good assessment:

You may have to try an alternate Youtube link. But I think that you have to do it Live.
There should be a whole game recap somewhere on Youtube.

Thanks man. You know I didn't realize how late I was and how much shorter these games are lol. Thought it was still going. I'm pacific time and I tried getting on there about 20 minutes ago. Maybe it's because I was late...but I still think I should have been able to catch the last few minutes but it wasnt letting me

Apparently Giannis/Jaylen jawed after the game ended, and Team USA as a whole was mad at Giannis' brother for fouling Harrison Barnes hard on a breakaway.

Yeah. Thanasis Antetokounmpo hit Harrison Barnes in the back of the head, when he tried to block that shot.
It should have been a Flagrant 1. Or whatever FIBA does for that.

Smart punked Giannis defensively multiple times that game. Maybe we really can play Smart as a big...

Giannis' limitations as a passer/shooter are exacerbated by the smaller FIBA court and the Greeks' lack of ace shooting. He's a much harder guard in NBA rules.

For sure, but you would've figured the 7 footer would obliterate the 6’4 guard, regardless of the rules— interesting that he did not.

Al I’m saying is that I’d like to see what happens if we try this in the regular season. Maybe we get blown up. Or maybe it proves successful and teams dont know what to do against a guard that can legitimately cover bigs for short spurts.

Oh hell. Smart guarded Porziņģis a couple of games.
Porziņģis is 7'3". Smart can play 3 positions on Offense, and all 5 on Defense.

He reminds me of Dennis Rodman, with his Defensive prowess.

Smart is one of the most versatile defensive guards i have seen. I really hope he takes another leap this year.

Makes me wonder if we had a healthy Smart during the entire Bucks series if that could have change the complexion and possibly the outcome.

Boston Celtics Marcus Smart explains postgame confrontation between Jaylen Brown, Giannis Antetokounmpo: ’We took exception to that hard foul’
By John Karalis | JKaralis@masslive.com

https://www.masslive.com/celtics/2019/09/boston-celtics-marcus-smart-explains-postgame-confrontation-between-jaylen-brown-giannis-antetokounmpo-we-took-exception-to-that-hard-foul.html
With 1:46 remaining in Team USA’s 69-53 win over Greece, Harrison Barnes poked the ball away and went in for what appeared to be an uncontested dunk.

Thanasis Antetokounmpo wasn’t going to let that happen, and he chased Barnes down hard. Barnes finished the dunk, but Thanasis’ charge was so strong, the momentum carried him through Barnes, fouling him hard and sending him flying out of bounds.

Barnes wasn’t hurt, but Boston Celtics Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart were among those that let the Antetokounmpo brothers know that they didn’t appreciate the dangerous nature of the play.

“We took exception to that hard foul. The game was pretty much over, and he had no way of blocking the shot,” Smart said after the game. “At that moment, you got to prepare for injuries, and we wouldn’t want nobody to be injured. We just let them know. It’s a learning moment for him. Because if the table was turned and somebody did that to them, we’d probably be having a whole different discussion right now, and we just wanted him to learn from that.

The Jaylen highlights look ok - he bricked one dunk and had a drive into the lane that ended with a weak pass to the perimeter - but his handles looked better and he’s showing a better sense of how to change pace on transition scores at the rim, a flicker of hesitation instead of a line drive.

Sure, JB's still a flawed player, but there is incremental improvement and he really has a record of coming up big in big games. That he got into it with Giannis shows that he's becoming fearless in something of an on-court leadership role too, which is also good to see. He's not gonna be one of your main skill stars, but he could be a very valuable, scoring Robin or 2nd Robin on a very good team. (Also good in this situation to see Smart keeping calm.

Every time we play the Bucks I think we should double team Giannis with Smart & Brown.

Didn't he also have an off-target crosscourt pass that wound up being a basket for Greece?

I can't think of another example who was listed as a guard. The guys who come to mind are all bigger and generally thought of as forwards, eg. Rodman and Lebron.
