That’s just strange, it has no business being discussed or brought up to Leonard.

His job is to play basketball, how is it fair or in any way ethical to bring up that subject if you’re a beat writer for the team?

This information is really unhelpful to the general public, there was no need for anyone to know the person involved was related to him, how is that in any way relevant? I’m not a fan of punishing the family when someone does something like this unless they’re involved which he clearly isn’t

I haven't seen anyone punish Leonard at all?

They simply mentioned she is Leonard's sister. Stuff like that is just basic reporting.

i guess what i'm asking is if that would be enough to sentence them guilty or would they need to find DNA evidence, etc. pointing to the two women committing the crime.

the fact they had the victims money or belongings or it shows them leaving with it immediately after the crime happened would do them no favors. plus u have to imagine, the police looked extensively at all HD casino footage before & after the incident (might even have audio). im thinking the victim might of just won some money in the casino (motive) & the two perps premeditated robbing her & followed her in to take it (opportunity) and when she refused or put up a struggle they then took it to violence and aggression and she suffered that skull fracture injury. If they immediately fled the casino afterwards that also points to guilt.

Like in most things, some people like their family some people don't. It's that way in every country.

I can be sure that I'd not give my sisters a dime if I were loaded. Others would shower their family with money...

He has 4 sisters. He's so quiet because he grew up not being able to get a word in edgewise.
Also, something that might surprise people. I think when it comes to athleticism, agility, physical attributes and skill I rate LeBron only in the top 50.

Simone Biles brother was arrested for murder just last week, when your a public figure of huge notoriety anything you or your immediate family does is front page news, where have u been the last 25yrs were u born last night?
The fact they dont wont to allow bail because she has a wealthy sibling is also part of the story making her a possible flight risk if he bonded her out.
few months ago the college admissions scandal only became a scandal because the lady off Full House kids were involved , all the children of non celebrities didnt have to endure half the media scrutiny or papparazzi and thus went about their day.

You should try reading, it’s very helpful when you’re making a comment in response to someone.

You question whether I was born yesterday and ask where I’ve been the last 25 years as if I said anything about this being a new development.

If you had even a basic level of reading comprehension you’d realise that my point was that I disagree with it, I made no mention of it being something special to this case so your counter point is pointless.

I challenge you to give me one good reason, just 1 about why the general public needs to know that the person involved in this case is the sister of an NBA player.

I’ll be waiting

You’ve missed my point, which is there’s absolutely no reason to mention that she’s his sister, why does the reader need that information?

I didn’t think I had to expand on it but maybe it wasn’t clear so I will. When I mentioned punishing the family it very simply comes down to

1. Having your name publicly associated with such an act

2. The potential for messed up fans to say some stupid things to ‘trash talk’ him in this regard.

Unfortunately we’ve seen it too many times with some fans not respecting the lines of trash talk and by making this connection you’re potentially creating an unnecessary scenario where a fan crosses that line.

I don’t see any benefit whatsoever to providing such information to the public.

**** weird man. The fact the a woman was the victim seems to give this so much more legitimacy, as weird as that is.

Chris Bosh bought his mom a house, but that didn't stop her from dealing drugs out of it. Some people are just trash and there is no helping them.

1st amendment & the freedom of the press is one logical reason
If you follow sports you know most teams do thorough background checks & examinations, psychological & medical on the athletes before drafting them to their team, reasons why is to get a idea of who a player is, how their psyche works and if their prone to anger, violence or other psychological issues.
Most leagues are especially conscientious of things such as this, they usually go a step further and talk to teachers, coaches and whoever else knows that player really well when they are a potential draft pick and sometimes free agent. If his sister can snap and kill a helpless sweet old lady over $800.00 two months after her brother wins a world championship and signs a $100million dollar contract something isnt right about that and whats to say he and this sister were especially close. RIP to the victim she didnt deserve that.

True, but it’s unnecessary and I’ve never agreed with that kind of reporting in principle either.

Leonard isn’t connected to this murder story at all, but his name was leveraged because it makes it a “hotter” headline to spin the story.

Huh? What does a background check have to do with anything?

Leonard’s professional success has literally nothing to do with this murder case. He has literally nothing to do with any of this. His celebrity and relation to the assailant shouldn’t supersede her own life choices. She has her own identity. She’s her own person. Now, because of a headline, he’s connected to this story and no doubt will be questioned about it, because his name is being leveraged for clicks.

I think it’s crazy he or Simone Biles have to publicly answer for someone else’s poor decisions just because of their celebrity.

Some would say the clutch shots he hit against eastern conference teams with toronto were demoralizing, in basketball analogies he was cold blooded on the court this past postseason, some might say we now see where he gets his expression-less non deadly killer instinct from.

That would be like saying seahorses are related to land horses because they both have ‘horse’ in their name.

Exactly! A bunch of unhelpful things pointed out that have no context or bearing on the main story at hand.

Fun fact: Women do grow facial hair. Some more naturally than others. I’m willing to bet you had a great, great, great, aunt/grandmother who had a lovely beard. Only within the last 200 years has facial hair been more explicitly associated with men.
