To me it looks more WCW, which is fine by me

I also thought it looked like WCW, with a little New Japan.

Went to the show on Saturday -- honestly, it was the most enjoyable wrestling show I've been to since 2012 Extreme Rules. All of the big matches lived up to their hype, and all in all, it was a lot of fun. For a brand that has a "limited roster," they did really well by having a 5 hour PPV -- I honestly couldn't believe it was already 10:00 when the tag match was underway.

The TV deal is only going to help the company too -- if some of those feuds actually had a TV program to build them up, I can only imagine how much bigger the Pac-Omega/Cody-Spears/Jericho-Page/Tag Title matches would've been. I'm really looking forward to the TV debut. They've got a lot of momentum and hopefully they can keep it going once they debut on TNT.

At a longhorn restaurant as well  Its the most unintentionally funny thing this year from wrestling.

Would never have been robbed if he just ate his Omaha steaks at home.

Seriously though the memes for this and Jericho's own promo on his instagram is absolute gold.

Cracker Barrel, Arby's and Longhorn Steakhouse have made responses, the only one who hasn't so far is Omaha Steaks.

The women's division sucks badly in AEW they shouldn't have rushed it until they got some decent talent IMO

Nyla Rose vs that 90 pound Joshi girl is not appealing for the first ever women's championship i would assume for the majority.

I am actually shocked they went this route.

Totally agree. I don’t know if they don’t want to spend the coin or what but there was/is plenty of great women’s talent out there to be had. It’s a shame about Kylie Rae. I liked her a lot but looks like she may be done with wrestling completely. Would’ve loved to see Jordynne Grace as the face of that division (prior to her Impact signing) and would also love some Taylor Hendrix. She’s like an Eva Marie that can actually go in the ring a bit. Emma when motivated is a great worker too.

I wondering if they are looking for good press with the Nyla story? I wouldn't have an issue with it personally if she was good but i find her to be just okay.

Nyla will win that's a lock and the headlines will be positive with her being the first male to transition to a female to win the belt but i think it's way too early for her big push she just isn't very good right now and needs more build up.

I agree with Jordynne Grace, Taylor Hendrix and even Emma anything would had been a better option.

No one seems to want to touch Taeler Hendrix with a 10 foot poll at the moment after that whole drama with her and Jay Lethal.

I'd love to see AEW get Grace, Emma and Tessa Blanchard however (so long as they can establish a deal with Impact to let them still work there).

Want to add, I totally agree with those who say their entrances and music is lacking. Like, i know he can still put on great matches and he did with PAC, but man does it seem like Kenny looks much more generic without that NJPW entrance

According to Kenny Omega, the stars of nxt wouldn’t even make any card he’s main eventing on.

I understand that he’s mostly working here, but I’m starting to teeter more and more towards rooting against AEW.

Yea the undercard in AEW is lacking quite a bit. Trevor Lee and Keith Lee would be instant main eventers in AEW, among several others. Rhea Ripley is by FAR better than any woman on their roster as well.

Plus, as I stated above, Kenny Omega himself looks a heck of alot more generic without that great NJPW entrance.

Even before reading that statement, after watching the premier episode, I think AEW will have their hands full competing against NXT. RAW? SD? Sure, arguably it could be a stalemate, but with NXT-UK-205 talent plus storytelling and production? It'll be too much.

Why would you root against a company, especially a pro wrestling company? Don't like it, don't watch. Who wants to see regular people out of a job?

They left it super late but better late than never, especially after the disaster that is the UK deal.

Now just to get that Australia tv deal (like seriously, please).

Also the Dynamite intro gave me very TNA circa 2008-2011 vibes to be honest. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing to be honest.

Intro was kinda of meh to me personally ... Was hoping for something like the legendary Nitro, Thunder or Saturday night themes.
