Didn't watch. Better than Djokovic - Federer final on Wimbledon? I doubt it.

I watched both, this was better.

Really can't imagine how it could be more intense then Wimb final (Novak saving 2 match points on Rogers serve, super tie break at 12-12 in 5th set).

Let's stick to basketball anyway.

If Micics leave world cup now, which is totally understandable after this sad news, only PG we will have is Jovic and probably Bogdan will be used more than ever even on a point guard.

Dude cannot even make a left handed lay-up. What a mess :D
I mean... he's gotta be solid. But talented much? Surely not.
But you gotta raise your hat for a guy with so little touch to make it that far

He’s making 2.550.000 € net, this is equivalent of 5.000.000 $ in Nba. So yes, he’s doing incredibly good. :D

If he played basketball he would have probably grown to like 6'11''. He is built like an old school basketball player.

does playing basketball make you grow taller?

is that some sort of 'the secret' positive thinking thing? like basketball players wish they were taller and imagine it everyday so it happens

i just thought that tall people decided to play basketball

Feel like Greece needs to ask for less from Giannis. FIBA rules makes it harder for an individual to dominate.

Should be a good game.

Little more about Vasilije Micic.

Before the world cup started, there were some talk that he got ,,family problems,, but nothing more than that. And if Teodosic and Milosavljevic didn't get injured he would't travel to the world cup.

Now, when we heard that his mother passed away (obvisly she was sick and that was ,,family problems,,) Vasa deserves ultimate respect from everyone. It takes so much bravery to go to the world cup and represent your country in that difficult time for your family.
Especially now in professional sport when players cancel national team for all kind of crazy reasosns. (Reddick canceled because he needed to move from one city to another). Going there and represent your country for 0$ in that situation is pure commitment to basketball and hell of patriot act.

Well done Micic, whatever you decide today, staying with national team or leaving, thank you for everything.

No, it's just that you are doing particular movements that help u grow, just like if u a weightlifter it limits your growth

Yes, but regular tall people are like 6'3", 6'4", in basketball terms, that's short. You don't see many 6'10"-6'11" guys walking down the street. I've never seen anyone that tall outside of basketball, and I'm from Croatia where people are quite tall.

That just means that tall people tend to play basketball, not that if people start playing basketball they suddenly start growing.

Yeah, if Greece is hitting threes and FIBA is gonna treat Giannis like he is in the NBA, this will be a tough one

They called a couple of charges on him that he wouldn't get in the NBA, makes massive difference. Czechs look great again, quarter final is close.

Correlation and Causation dude. Basketball doesn't make people grow, it's just that tall kids tend to play Basketball.

It means both.. U r not gonna grow from 5'9 to 6'5 if u start playing basketball, but u will gain at least 1-2 inches, and probably 2 or 3

We are not getting Rebs (as usual), we are not hitting treys (as usual), so the fact that Giannis got whistled for a bs 3rd foul is probably the tombstone of our ambitions today

Yeah, right after my post, we got the better of the whistle in the second half of 2ndQ, that 3rd foul on Giannis was pretty trash. Fortunately for us Greeks are unable to run and their half-court after the early barrage of 3s is still horrendous

Another pretty BS call on Giannis and the game is over. You are the better team, congrats Czechs
