I finally saw France-Lithuania.

After seing JV free-throw with Gobert hitting the ball and the rim, after reading all posts here; I felt bad for Lithuania.

But after watching the whole game, and especially the 3rd quarter, I feel good.
How the coach may say they could not défend?! When you see in the second half no calls for JV's defense help with body, Kalnietis pushing at lEast twice in the back... Lithuanian's coach can't complain!
And two actions keep them into the game at third: Kalnietis on Albicy, it was a true offensive foul, no way to contest , but Albicy had a technical for flopping. And then Seibutis cutting De Colo's run deserved an unsport foul.
To be honnest, I think De Colo was lucky at the end of the first half, but Kalnietis did **** when hé came and pushed him in the back.

I regret that a lot for people spoke without watching the whole game, I regret that FIBA recognized the last mistake, but not Albicy's flopping at least, or Even all other mistakes. The way they communicated let think for everyone who did not see the game "ok France did not deserve to win, it's a scandal, but France still go to quarter, while Lithuania unfairly go Home".
LA 2028 (Starters):
Francisco - Strazel - Malédon - Traoré ?
Coulibaly - Fournier
Risacher - Cordinier
Yabusele- Hoard - Essengue/Penda?
Wembanyama - Lessort - Raynaud / Beringer /Sarr?

Do they only use the point differential from the 2nd round for the tie breaker? Whats the deal if greece, czech rep and brazil end up with the same points?

Yes, but regular tall people are like 6'3", 6'4", in basketball terms, that's short. You don't see many 6'10"-6'11" guys walking down the street. I've never seen anyone that tall outside of basketball, and I'm from Croatia where people are quite tall.

Correlation and Causation dude. Basketball doesn't make people grow, it's just that tall kids tend to play Basketball.

Would many of those kids grow to 6'8" and taller, if they didn't play basketball?

That just means that tall people tend to play basketball, not that if people start playing basketball they suddenly start growing.

It means both.. U r not gonna grow from 5'9 to 6'5 if u start playing basketball, but u will gain at least 1-2 inches, and probably 2 or 3

Absolute nonsense. Otherwise we would be seeing millions of 6'5+ Filipino basketball players around but we don't now do we.

Well, I can get behind every defensive foul call on Greece, but these offensive fouls on Giannis were straight BS

Balvin is a revelation of the world cup. Czechs getting cheap free throws, that could save them.

Why don't we see people that tall outside of basketball then? You think every giant plays basketball?

The contact on his drive was excessive as usual, good in my opinion.

That kind of contact usually results in a no call in Intl ball or at least Im accustomed to being like that.

Agreed. I honestly thought he was going to be gone on his previous drive and surprised to see the blocking call on that one.

Greece aren't done yet still down 5 with 90 seconds to go. Giannis will learn from this though as he won't get the calls in FIBA putting his head down and running through opponents.

You can see tall people in volleyball, handball...even goalkeepers and some central defenders in football are very tall. Meaning tall people are doing sports, where being tall is advantage. Being tall is of course crucial especially in basketball.
