Cortes reverting into the trash that he actually is, the Orioles didnt even want him, and Cessa is still trash, Gleyber contributed to that inning too with that error.

The Yankees look like the 100 loss team tonight. All of the pitchers in this game should be released.

And another loser called Ryan Dull is warming up.

Horrific loss AND horrific job by Boone.

You do NOT use Chance Adams (ever), especially after using Ottavino and Britton.

Turned what should have been an easy win...into a loss. Oh well. Had a chance to get a little space on Houston. On to the next one.

The Yankees need to create a roster spot in their organization by releasing Chance Adams. He truly sucks.

Too bad they never traded him when he was still considered a "prospect"

This is why I don't blame Boone for playing the bench that first game. We gotta keep our starters in bubble wrap till the Playoffs.

Game 1 Paxton
Game 2 Tanaka
Game 3 Sevy/Green
Game 4 German

That’s my rotation right now for the ALDS. Not sure how deep Sevy can go into gms, but he should pitch at least pitch 3 innings and then possibly have Green pitch 2 more after that.

Watched a 2 hour movie while the Yankees were up 5-4, movie finished and the game was still going on.

And they lose in the 12th inning on cue.

James Paxton is 9-0, 2.50 ERA in his last nine starts. Since the end of World War II, the only Yankees pitchers to win nine consecutive starts were: Whitey Ford (11 in 1961) Ron Guidry (11 in '79; 10 in '78) Mike Mussina (9 in '03).

Brett's quietly having a good year too. And that bat stuff on the roof is hilarious.

I pray he dominates in the playoffs too.

Montgomery and Betances made their season debuts today. Didn't expect much from either, but Betances seemed eager to want a playoff roster spot.

They forgot that they still need to win some games to get home field advantage.

Going 3-3 against two awful teams is unacceptable.

Home field advantage isn’t a big deal in baseball.

Is it nice to have? Of course. Important? No. Ask the Royals, Indians, Dodgers if having homefield in game 7 meant anything.

It's important when the Astros are loaded and have an even better record at home than the Yankees.

It's also important considering that they played two years ago and the home team won each of the games in a 7 game series.

It's not important. I can make the argument that the Astros would've won that game 7 in Yankee Stadium with the same pitching performance. Home field doesn't mean much in MLB. Yankees gained home field advantage against Boston last yr and they couldn't even win 1 game at YS. Or even 2 yrs ago when the Yankees were down 0-2 against Cleveland in the ALDS and came back and won game 5 on the road.

It's really one of the reasons why they even implemented the 2nd Wildcard. Wildcard teams would get hot at the right time and were often going on deep playoff runs or winning it all. So they wanted wildcard teams to be at a disadvantage and lose their #1 pitcher if they advanced.

Home field is as good as your next days starting pitcher.
