The real reason we all paid attention to this is to see Vincent Poirier getting experience being on a championship focused team. An experience he can hopefully impart on the Celtics.

A Chinese crowd roots for the underdog opponents to an America team. The only possible explanation is that the Americans individually pissed the crowd off.

Another pro-Brown post, but i have no idea why Pop has subbed him out in the final minutes against France and now Serbia. The defence is so bad when he is out.

Not a plus / minus fan, but there is a reason why he is plus 8 while shooting 1/6 from the floor

So another loss? Serious?

58 straight wins over many years and then 3 losses in 2 weeks.

At what point is Marcus Smart official declared injury prone? It's not the playoffs or an important game if he isn't hurt.

Breaking news!

After back to back defeats, Coach Pop has been renamed Coach Poop.

Playing for third place in football was pointless enough, but playing for 5th... this is ridiculous.

Those losses were set in stone before the start of the World Cup, USA is inferior to France and Serbia.

You can add that 4th loss as well, to the Van Gundy team.

Team USA, doing the Team Shamrock idea of "it's only preseason, we will work it out" for the entire season.

Might not watch any more. Only watch for the Celtics, and if Perrier is bottled up on the shelf for France then that isn't a game with a Celtic.

The Olympics, that will only be LeBron and LeBron-approved players and coaches?

Won't watch if there are no Celtics.

I don't think so, tbh. I think they had a bad game, I believe they are completely capable of beating France and Serbia.

On another note, old man Scola with 28/13 against France. Darn, unexpected but Argentina beat France by 14...
Good assessment:

7/31 from 3
13/25 from the FT line.

You can't win a semi-finals world cup game with that.

Good luck to Charlotte with Batum and his huge contract....he sucks.

Scolas game is just a beauty to watch. That guy has incredible fundamentals. Schooling Gobert like that, at 39 years, I mean that is something else. He is still absolutely leathal in the p&r. I remember him on the Rockets basically 10 years ago. He always had that amazing footwork and the classic old mans game.

Edit: There is something that I need someone else with more basketball knowledge explain to me. How is it possible that a 39 year old big man with below average athleticism is still able to play at least decent defense? We see so many big man in the NBA, with much more potential when it comes to athletic ability absolutely fold when it comes to that. How is that even possible? Especially against a very good frontcourt?
