Wrong line from you. I was expecting something along the lines of:

"Friday is a no pressure, consolation game against Serbia. Midds is going off for 30"

8-)

This is also good.

The Giannis + Australia team rung true at Rio and it still does now. Obviously we also need BroLo and Thon can stay the fk away from Giannis from now on. Except in a different jersey.

Just wait until the second losers bracket consolation game Midds plays against either Poland or the Czech Republic on Saturday.

The pressure will really be off then. 8-)

Remember this team 100% should have lost to Turkey as well.

I know people are blaming Pop for this, but the roster just wasnt good enough.Remember they play against teams that have been playing together for years with the same system and the FIBA rules.

The roster is by far the best out of all teams in FIBA. That said the huge gap to the quality compared to the other competing teams has mostly closed. It is true that the players haven't been playing together nor have they played under the FIBA rules. It is not shameful to lose to that french team.

It's a combination of factors and Pop was one of them. He didn't do his personnel any favors with what he chose to put in AND he was limited by time/access/availability both in terms of the players he could have and what he could do with them. He had to make decisions with how to handle what he had and I think he was characteristically inflexible. It's hard to blame him for the players he ended up with, but it's a little hard to swallow, for instance, that he kept 3 centers given what he did with them.

They were linked to him years before the Jazz signed him, consecutive offseasons. It was on hoopshype.

Midds and Barnes both played a good chunk of minutes at center. This team was completely void of big men outside of Myles Turner. Plumlee and Brook were complete non factors. Marcus Smart’s spot should’ve gone to a PF/C. Hell, Noah Vonleh probably keeps this team from dropping to France and Australia.

He was cut by the Clippers in preseason before the was scooped by the Jazz. I was following Jingles before he even signed in Barcelona, feel like I woulda seen that.

EDIT: Found it. Too bad they weren’t more proactive. Though after Maccabi and a rough preseason with the Clippers I admittedly soured on his NBA prospects. Landed in the perfect situation in Utah.

I had never seen him linked to MKE when Hammond was here. That said, we do all know the offer sheet he tossed out once he got to Orlando.

Nonetheless Jingles will get overshadowed by Bojan out there this season. 8-)

Pish, child- nobody puts Jingles in a corner. Which is silly really, he's a good 3 point shooter.

Joe's not getting overshadowed by Bojan, they have completely different games.

We are definitely cheering on the Boomers right? I mean there's two Aussies with some colorful history in Milwaukee.

We almost had three if Det didn't ask Thon to skip... Yup that will surely fix his game in the NBA.

Plus, if you support us Aussies, you get to root against Marc Gasol. Double-win!
