I agree Patty Mills flops as well. I never denied that or said we didn’t do it. But the level that Rubio and Rudy do it is embarrassing.

Don’t get me wrong, Spain are a great team and I think if they play each other 100 times it’s 50/50 (or slightly better for one or the other) but I think that blown call in that situation hurt. Patty also should’ve closed the game out on a makeup call but he shouldn’t have been in that position.

Entertaining game either way.

Refs had bad calls on both sides, but IMO Australia was more favoured taking into account the whole game, I am sorry but they should not complain...

In any case, big game, it had everything: two teams playing their hearts off, intensity, controversy... great entertainment. Congrats to Spain and Australia, both deserved the win.

Joe Ingles playing Houdini in the second half really let the Spain D key in on Patty, made things really hard for us.

i think we overestimate his ability because hes a good pnr handler and just assume he's smart with the ball + knows how to create for others and supposedly himself.

but maybe we're better off having him as purely a catch and shoot guy. then again. he got quite a few good semi-open looks and just refused to let it fly. he's supposed to be one of the best 3pt shooters in the world yet...iunno.

Yes, no foul on Marc. But the non-called Rudy three pointer and the Baynes illegal block on Rubio were worse, for example.
