Just so people are aware. Australia losing to Spain the way we did in Rio (contentious refs decisions - please YouTube it).. is why so many of us including Bogut are upset again.

It’s not taking anything away from Spain but we’ve had some very bad calls that have cost us big games and yes I understand there were bad calls both ways. Just trying to give some context

I'm pretty sure if a video of this game can be made with ALL referee calls, both teams can have reasons to complain about it. It was not one sided.

As much as I hate every Spanish National Team in every sport, congratulations to them.
They always are a team with good chemistry, where everyone knows his role and mostly plays unselfishly.

Big props to Sergio Scariolo, a mastermind. I wish he could have trained my Italian National Team for as long as he did with Spain.

Big props to the Australians, too. They fought hard. Perhaps they lack in collective experience in closing out important games, so this World Cup can only serve as good mental preparation for future competitions.

If you are italian you should root for spain just like a lot of italians do, and the same happens with spaniards rooting for italiy. Spain and Italy are very similar and share a lot of things, they are like brothers, supporting each other is the most logical thing.

the majority of people in Italy love Spain and their people but dislike some of their "sport stars" like Sergio Busquets, Marc Marquez, Ramos, Rudy Fernandez of course etc..." . Also, the fact that Spain dominated world soccer and european basketball for a decade contributes to the jealousy/antipathy by some, If I have to guess.

It makes everyone look bad since it derails the whole thread, and more importantly insinuate spaniards are racists and depict you as a resentful person. I sincerely doubt those remarks were posted. Sheer domination along with some of their superstars being 'cheeky ****' gives me some displeasure. I am joking obviously, there is not any real hate, just competitive jealousy. I love Spain and what comes with it.

I am sure of what I am saying. But that is not because of that, that I will think Spanish are all racists. Racists are everywhere. Simply when I saw thoses racists posts, moderators did not their job.
