He's already top 20 bruh where you been.

Not according to SI

 exactly that list is all over the place. I couldn't put together a list of more than 15 guys I'd rather have going in to just next season, never mind moving forward. Seriously name 20 better players in the NBA right now, you can't.

All those guys are currently better but never know next season since Pascal is going through prime while others are dealing with nagging injuries. Oladipo, Westbrook, Griffin, Holiday are question marks I dont see them play a lot of games. While PS is pretty much guaranteed to play 80+ games.

Top 20 would be a good goal, top 5 is being a bit silly

Y’all won’t be good. Lowry/Gasol/Ibaka we al. not aging? OG suddenly stepping up? Siakam becoming this?

Nah, y’all are going to learn about non contending basketball like everyone else

Funny to see a Kings fan talking a lil smack about the defending champs. When are y'all making the playoffs? This decade or next?

well, there's non contending basketball and there's being in the playoffs. in the playoffs, anything is possible. as we've seen last year. and the raptors are going to be in the playoffs. so certainly not like everyone else

Agreed. I seem to be higher on Siakam than most, but top five by next season is crazy. I think he could hit like #15-ish in 2020 - maybe a bit higher? But I don't know.

Sports Illustrated just named 23 and you dismissed it, so why would anyone else bother making a list? Apparently you don’t recognize alternative opinions.

BTW, you’re embarrassing yourself almost as much as the OP in this thread, which I didn’t think was possible.

NinjaBro is a Drake fan not a Raps fan. Pascal will improve a lot (the video alone is good evidence). Lets see how well it translates to the game given how much we have already seen him grow. Top 5 is a reeeeaeccchhhh though.

Top 5 is unrealistic but an All-NBA appearance is not beyond the realm of possibility. Pascal is a major talent.

He might take a step back now that defenses will be gameplanning around him as a main option. I definitely think his efficiency takes a hit anyways cause he will be having to create his own offense more now.

Hes got a awesome motor though so i wont completely rule out him taking another big step but i see him more as a off the ball elite role player. Like a Tobias impact but a two way player.

Raptor fans look bad when they make these threads trying to stay relevant.

I understand their frustration with how things developed but they should be happy that they managed to win a title when they had what looked like an typical treadmill team the previous years

Paul George? First of all, George is not a top 5, not even close. If you have him top 5, then Siakam is not far behind, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Siakam has better upcoming season than George.

Back to the topic, NO, Siakam is not going to be Top 5, but easily top 20 which I think he already is.

Paul George is top 3 in both MVP and DPoY awards last year. He might not be top 5 in overall talent, but he is top 5 last season. Siakam is nowhere near top 20. Not saying he couldn’t be, but definitely not now. Top 5 is a joke!

Last season was a career season PG will almost never replicate. We're talking about a guy who led a team to 47 wins with a teammate many think is still a superstar, who then flamed out in humiliating fashion to Dame.

PG is an incredible player, absolutely a star, and the Clippers are favourites. But top 5 is a stretch IMO.

My predictions: Siakim makes all-NBA 2nd defensive team and is top 12 in scoring and shoots 56/40/80 with game averages of 24/8/4

not sure if that is top 5 but there aren't many guys who will be as effective at both ends

Interesting after he averaged 19/7/3 on 47/29/75 shooting in the 24 playoff games

It's embarrassing to say PS is a top 20 player? Ok then.

You'd rather have Paul, Horford, Griffin, Draymond, Aldridge, Kemba over him? Seriously who's embarrassing themselves now.
