Ok. One idea is that the way to judge all of these players is by "BBIQ" - or, do they have an instinctive feel of what is going on. Not, repeat, not, what to do.

Of the 'under first contract' players, by this 'metric', the elite guys are Mitch and Frank. (I'm taking RJ and Iggy out of this - haven't played in the league.) Both are better in this (admittedly semi-eye-point view) than Taj/Bobby/Elf.

And that's, essentially, the answer.

Win totals should be irrelevant.

It appears that Mills might have reached out to Frank after FIBA.

I mean, the tournament didn't really tell us anything we don't know. The Knicks want a star point guard, and Frank plays like an unselfish role player. He'd be great in a team-based environment, but the Knicks are looking for people to carry the team, so it's not a good fit. It upped his value across the league, confirming what real Knicks fans know, but IMO didn't alter his status with the Knicks.

Best case scenario for him and the Knicks is another team decides to offer a 1st rounder for him.

Frank opens messages and reads:

High possibility of that. but Frank vs DSJ for the backup position would still be a thing.

I feel like we should take notes from France and have Frank play with another point guard like De Cola. EP and Frank off the bench would be a decent back court. I would like to see Frank share mins with DSJ as well

Fiz can get real creative with the lineups

Also why hasnt Knicks picked up his option yet?

That wouldn't work, De Colo can shoot, EP can't. And neither could DSJ as far as we knew unless this miracle offseason shooting transformation happens. If DSJ gets his shooting up Frank and DSJ could be solid. Maybe they could play him with Ellington.

I think Frank and Ep would be a good start for Frank

I would eventually wanna see Frank and Rj play together

EP and Frank could work if Frank plays off ball and gets his 3pt shooting to high 30s or 40%, if Frank can't get his 3pt% up I think he's best at PG surrounded by a couple shooters

Positionless baskeball

Ive seen some lineups work in the nba where teams would start 2 pgs

I think Frank can easily do that with his size

I would prefer that Frank and Smith get most of those minutes with Payton as the safety valve.

Frank needs to play with at least one other strong ball handler. You can’t have him be your main ball handler.
