I doubt he ever gets to the finals with Nets. Some chance, but not that much.

That's a heck of an assumption to make. Like there's an inter-office email that goes out like "hey guys, no one be nice to KD"? I think that's pretty unlikely.

Afraid to? Maybe. IDK. But the first option seems completely outlandish.

the way you do this is tell 2-3 of your top level staff that you don't want anyone to be nice to kd. then they pass it along. then they pass it along. and eventually everyone knows not to be nice to kd. you can create that knowledge quickly this way without a memo or e-mails. i've done this before on certain things i didn't want 'on paper'.

not that i'm saying it happened or not, just saying. it doesn't sound outlandish to me.

I think there is a difference between being presti running a tight ship and assuming that ship is part of the nba’s equivalent of the KGB.

Durant has proven himself to be an... Unreliable narrator at best. And being surprised that he didn't receive the red carpet after the way he left and the people he threw under the bus on the way out is a reflection of his continued inability to accept any accountability for his own comments and actions. This is the guy who got into a scuffle with ANDRE ROBERSON.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

We did know that Oklahoma City wanted to break their team up, so that helped, but we didn’t know if we could get him.”

It's pretty obvious what this is.

Reminder:
"I know he used the term mutual. I don't necessarily agree with that," Presti told reporters at a press conference Thursday.

I’m not looking for a new car but if someone offers to pay me $150k for mine I’ll do it. I believe Presti when he says that weren’t looking to trade George. However I think he and the front office got over it pretty quickly. I’m just wondering if Doc knows something we don’t. Even though he’s not the GM, he’s still very involved with personnel.

I’m sure it’s just the offseason boredom but I’ve managed to get myself excited about both Dort and Bazley. I still haven’t yet decided which one will win rookie of the year.

Based entirely of fan made NBA 2k rosters I've decided bazley is going to be tayshaun Prince 2.0

Added to Mike Conley-Gilgeous-Alexander, and Danny Green-Ferguson we've got the makings of the best perimeter defense in the league. After we add Isaiah Stewart, who will be ben Wallace with an offensive game, in the draft, We'll just need rasheed to cap off our recreation of that Pistons title team.

Wouldn't that mean Shai is Billups?

I mean, technically, but Conley and billups aren't far removed. Danny Green should be rip, but I don't think Ferg ever does the off screens thing

Bazleys passing intrigues me. My desire to see a team with good ball movement makes me hopeful. Unlike some of the other guys on the roster that can’t shoot, bazley might have the skills to make a difference in other ways.

Dort is definitely a steal for his position. We are due for a Presti project to pan out. Hopefully he can become a Marcus smart type player.

So if you were into a reclamation project with the hopes that the player or players become something who would would go after on this list? Or who would you add to your list?

Dante Exum

From that list, Malik Monk and Exum. Maybe add Harry Giles is he qualifies as a reclamation project.

Of the names recently mentioned I might go for Exum. Possibly Giles. Not the others, unless it was for next to nothing in value.

Dort might start out as a low usage wing. Could go to high usage. If he improves and if given opportunity.

Bazley might start out at SG, with no probably no real role. Might become a small forward with a mixed support role. PF maybe in distant future. Probably not a star unless Presti decides he is and tries for it.

Presti's next design might be 3 plus guys who are bigger than typical PGs, who all think they can drive and play make. Sort like before but probably with way less talent, at least among the guys who have already arrived. Lots of players to arrive and most will probably leave fairly quickly. A few will be paid to stay, some might stay because they are cheap and Presti picks.

From the athletic aritcle today by Shams:

The Heat have a level of interest in Oklahoma City’s Chris Paul entering the NBA season, league sources said. Paul had shared a strong mutual interest in ending up in Miami after his trade to the Thunder — but the sides could not agree to a deal and now OKC is prepared for Paul to enter training camp as a veteran star and leader. Paul has three years and $124 million left on his deal. Miami will likely elect to see how it starts the season before gauging a new pursuit of Paul, which would take several large contracts to match salary.

Miami will eventually make a decent off for CP3. Riley tried using the media to develop leverage he doesn't have. The real question is rather or not someone else will throw out a good enough offer before Miami pulls their head out of their ass. Miami is on a short window after their Butler commitment and CP3 fits that window. Miami fans thinking Riley can recreate the LeBron-Wade-Bosh teams with Butler as the Wade is just pure comedy. Butler isn't recruiting Giannis and another big star to Miami like Wade did with LeBron and Bosh.

Just figure out how to get OKC Winslow in the deal and I’m good.
