If Lebron is the GOAT then how did he allow younger star players to catch him in rings already in his era?

Steph is 31 and Klay is 29. Lebron is 35.

Draymond Green is 29, as is Klay. Does it bother you that KD allowed younger players like them to pass him in rings? I mean, KD will retire with at least one ring less than them, making him (by your logic) inferior to them both. Pretty sad, huh?

None of these guys can hold a candle to Robert Horry (7 rings). Even MJ bows down to Big Shot Rob.

Wow, they are younger stars AND they really are younger than LeBron. This thread has been a true revelation.

What's next, they were born in years that came after the year LeBron was born?

I am on the edge of my seat with anticipation waiting to see what gem he will drop on us next.

Personally, I don't even glance up from my morning paper if the ring count isn't in double figures....

Kobe didn’t allow younger players who came in the league AFTER HIM to catch him in rings. Neither did MJ

I didn’t know Robert Horry was an all star that carried his team to 7 rings. Didn’t know he was the best or 2nd best player on those teams

Bill Russell loves this debate. He's older than everyone today and has more rings than MJ and Lebron combined.

Steve Kerr also has 5 rings. He secretly tanked it this year to make sure Steph, Klay and Draymond don't pass him.

LeBron well we know how that story played out, everyone ate during the LeBron era.

You gotta give LeBron that, he shared the wealth. Shared the money, shared the trophies

Well Duncan, while not younger than Kobe, did come into the league a year after Kobe and at one point surpassed him in rings (4 to Kobe's 3) by the end of the '06-'07 season. In the end they both finished with 5. In all honesty though your argument and reasoning is pretty lazy and not at all well thought out.

Duncan only came in a year after him. Curry came in the league 6 years after Lebron and has the same amount of rings as him

Curry entered the league 2 years after KD, has won more rings, and you still believe KD is better. So even you don't think that argument is good enough

I don't see how this is a mark on LeBron when it's a team accomplishment to win a ring vs the fact that Kobe was the side kick on 3 of his rings. As it's been pointed out this is a poorly formed argument.

OP’s logic is severely flawed and lazy. Hypothetically, if LeBron joined the Warriors instead of KD, you’d be ripping him to shreds - and rightfully so - for such a weak move, but to meet your “logic”, he’d have more rings than all of them to appease your “concern”.

Context is everything. CONTEXT.
