I hope either he or Paschall are good enough to start at the 3 because I don't trust that McKinnie's defense all of a sudden took a leap forward.

I think the rotations are going to be really interesting. Kerr wants to have 2 top BBIQ guys on the floor at all times and he's got 2 he knows he can trust and is hoping Evans, Poole, Burks, and Russell will step up and take that mantle.

Around some of those guys will be at least 1 of WCS, Looney, Green, Paschall, Spellman, or Smiley.

The other 1 or 2 spots on the floor will be an ever changing mix of the rest of the guys hoping to find lineups that gel and work on both ends of the court.

I also think Kerr is going to push the pace HARD early.

It wasn't that bad. I mean he had some struggles, but so do most players who aren't Draymond, Klay, or Iguodala. Livingston really struggled on defense last season.

I'm fine with McKinnies defense. He's active and his hustle and rebounding give us extra possessions.

But of course like you, I have hopes for Paschall and Robinson to be able to defend. Robinson did say that when he was on the Pavers, he'd often come into the game to guard the other teams best scorers.

If Robinson can maintain a solid 3 point percentage, he's gonna play.

I hope the minutes are distributed this year so only Curry and Russell average 30 a game, Green and Looney in the 20s, and the team can win while spreading all the rest of the minutes around.

That said, my guess is Kerr get's caught up chasing wins and the minutes are not as distributed as I like.

Kerr talks about the difficulty of all of the new faces with so much to learn in a very short time.

The athletic has a piece about how spellman will be a sleeper and how they thought about taking him over Jacob Evans, but felt like they needed wing players. Hoping he can be a big that spaces the floor.

I loved him in college and if he gets his weight right, he's gonna be a no brainer good player.
