As said, if you want it for travel then Chase Sapphire is the way to go. We're putting almost all of our wedding expenses on it and then using the rewards to pay for the Honeymoon. It has a high interest rate though so you need to pay it off every month.

I don't know how often you ride the train, but I ride it a ton between Chicago and Milwaukee. Amtrak has a pretty nice deal where you get something like 12,000 bonus points if you put $1000 on it in the first 90 days. Again, with a wedding to pay for that was no problem. It's no fee and that 12K ends up as like 25 free one-way rides between Chicago/Milwaukee (so roughly $300). Then it's double points on every Amtrak dollar spent. So after we use up the free rides, we'll just use that card to buy train tix.

Vodka, clamato, hot sauce, worcestershire, celery salt, pickle juice? What am I forgetting? Lemon juice? Think it's been like 10 years since I made your OG recipe.

Pretty close. I tend to go heavy on the worcestershire, only use tabasco for the hot sauce, and yup, some kind of acid. Lemon or lime juice will do.

Here's a wild tip my cousin gave me that actually works if you want an alternate. Instead of Clamato, use the Zing-Zang mix, and add a shot of orange juice instead of the lemon/lime. Sounds weird but it's legit delicious.

We now make garlic infused vodka for bloodys. I'm not a big bloddy fan but that vodka is great.

Is it just my browser, or did the Packers/Brewers buttons disappear? Maybe it was a while ago, but I just noticed as I'm on my work computer where I don't have all the sites bookmarked. I liked those.

They're gone. Now we have the drop down menu which is a lot better.

does anyone have a marinade recipe or brand that they love? I eat a lot of chicken, and it is delicious on the grill with just seasonings and such, but I'm looking for a few ways to change it up

Buffalo sauce for the heat and texture. Add a dab of BBQ for a little smoke.

This happened to me a few weeks ago and found that it was my adblocker. Took them off the filtered list and they've returned.

Ugh, I wish I could selectively un-block those buttons. Lol. But that is good to know - I unlocked for now and we'll see how unbearable the ads are.

The dropdowns are a nice improvement in overall functionality but aren't a replacement for the buttons for ease of use. It's so much quicker.

Thanks blazza.

I didn't watch Chernobyl but, regardless of that fact, Craig Mazin just stole an Emmy from Mike.

Cool to see/hear his name during the Emmys though! Hope you got to be there man.

No AF. Good suggestion. Looked up a sleeper room from Denver to Oakland and it was 13k (which is what you will have after the spend) and I assume you could add in the companion coupon on that trip. It would be a free $500/per person ride. No brainer if you have extra spend and interested in a those cross country rides.

Back from vacation. I know, everyone missed me. Bryce was beautiful, Zion was incredible, and the Grand Canyon was awesome.

The biggest highlight for me was hiking the Narrows. My old man (he's 72) managed to make it nearly a mile up the canyon through the river.

This was incredible: https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/236503/jerk-chicken-wings/

I plan to make it again. I need to figure out if it will keep or not, and maybe make a giant jar or two of it.

Do you brine? Very simple recipe for nice, juicy chicken breasts on the grill:

1/4 cup salt dissolved into 4 cups of water
Submerge two chicken breasts (~1 Lbs each at most) and refrigerate for 30 minutes
Pat dry the chicken and brush on some olive oil
sprinkle both sides with paprika (smoked paprika is a little better, IMO) and rub it in
Grill as needed until 165 degrees internal (my grill is weird so I have no idea what standard amount of time on each side is)

The Kenji recipe below has been a household staple for us for years- it's quick, light and delicious. We always have the base ingredients floating around, and pretty easy to ramp up or down flavours you do/don't like. We have with salad in summer, with couscous and steamed veges in winter.

Also great to make an extra one or two to have slide as leftovers for your lunch the next day sliced up with whichever side you had: pop some of the salad in a container before you dress it, or wonderful just turned through leftover couscous with a bunch of very lightly dressed baby spinach.
