Re: Around the NBA IV
The new "clarified" travel rules are going to be very interesting to see enforced. Harden and Giannis push those rules to the limit and they are going to be complaining if the officials stick to the new clarified rules.
By my read they had been enforcing a gather step and 2 and half steps ... now it's gather and 2 or gather and 1 depending on the situation.

It's going to be extremely difficult to enforce. Will be fun to watch it happen though. The Giannis fast break and the Harden step back will be picked on.

It seemed that the rule would be harder for Giannis ... it's a gather step and 1 step if the player is moving toward the basket, so Giannis' headlong dash to the basket will be a travel a LOT more. Harden's jab steps will still get him 2 steps.

I doubt they want to hamper two of the biggest stars in the league.

It's typical NBA PR ... they want to look like they are doing something about something people have been complaining about.

What?
Time to change your avatar. I've often thought you were Chinese, and I have nothing against Chinese, or any other race. I do however have a problem with stamping out anything that disagrees with the government's (Chinese, Communist, Socialist, Dictatorship, etc) that doesn't allow for others to think and act as they wish within the law.
I'm fully with Morey on this one. And I despise anyone or regime that doesn't allow for free thought and actions within the law.

I still don't know what you're talking about. Any chance you can clear it up?

Supporting freedom = blasting nonsense on Twitter? WTF.
Communism is responsible for millions of deaths and tons of human rights violations. The government deciding how many children you should have, amongst other restraints.
Comparing communism to what we have here in the USA and other free nation's is a non starter for me. You my friend are way off the rails.

I agree with you 100%. Communism is responsible for millions of deaths and tons of human rights violations. However, Communism is also responsible for a much improvement of life for 1+ billion people over a short span of time. I've had my philosophy courses in college and there is certainly no black and white in this world. If getting rid of Communism means chaos for 1+ billion people, many more will lose their home and possibly life. Just something to keep in mind.

Learn your history. Communism was responsible for numerous purges and The Great Leap Forward (and no that was not a good thing despite the name; it was a great leap backward). The reason China has prospered over the past 30 years is because of capitalism through its trade especially with the United States. If you want an idea of where China could have been without communism look at Taiwan or Hong Kong.

Tainwan or HK has like 1% of overall population in mainland china. I think India is a better comparison, how are they doing as a democratic society as a whole?

We're talking about capitalism. India has not historically been a capitalist country. It has actually been pretty socialist and isolationist. Japan and South Korea are other comparisons.
