So why hasn't Kawhi gotten any flack for colluding?

Post#1 » by Tracymcgoaty » Tue Sep 24, 2019 11:05 pm

I seriously just want people to admit that it's not the colluding that matters it's all about who is doing the colluding.

Kawhi - all good

Lebron - scum

is that about right when it comes to the Lebron/realgm relationship?

really curious.

Because he’s only adapting to the predetermine colluding culture of the nba.

He isn't the one who has set the colluding culture of the nba.

There's been a bunch of multi page threads calling him out for it even before the woj "bomb". So your question is based on a false premise.

Even with that, he's already won multiple championships so its not as cringey as when other players did it.

This. He's been called out and criticized a ton. In fact, I'd wager at this point that Kawhi is now universally hated on this forum besides by Clippers fans. People are going crazy about this right now.

My bad then didn't pay close enough attention!

Mods can close it if they want.

1. He has

2. The primary thing people were mad about with LeBron/Miami and KD/Golden State wasn't the fact that guys were talking to each other about teaming up (that was part of it), but that they were trying to create overwhelming talent advantages.

Kawhi+PG on the Clippers makes a damn good team on paper, but they aren't (or shouldn't be) a prohibitive favorite. I personally think Philly has the highest ceiling of any team and consider them the best team on paper.

FTFY :)

Kawhi is the best player in the world and after KD went down, Kawhi has become a potential roadblock for LeBron to surpass MJ.

as long as he didnt collude with his sister, this wont be a big deal for media outlets, kawhi is like soup for people with a broken jaw easy to digest, he doesnt talk he doesnt have a massive brand he promotes 24/7 , he's not even on social media he's like a fart in the wind.

Kawhi has not got a pass from me. He’s a snake and was a major bitch to the Spurs. I’ve called him these things in multiple threads and I’ve never believed the Spurs were in the wrong at any point during that drama and him winning a chip for Toronto doesn’t change how I feel. He 100% should have played in the 2018 playoffs and he’s a quitter for not doing so.

The media won’t call him, or any of these guys, out for their snake moves cause they are kiss ups and soft and care more about hyping superstars and being in their good graces than they do about their journalistic integrity. This is especially true when they are forcing their way to big markets like LA and NY - the media almost acts like a hometown fan/stan they are that bad. LeBron got more hate for Miami cause Miami isn’t LA or NY.

No one cares anymore because everyone is doing it. KD/Kyrie, Lebron/AD, Kawhi/PG

Personally I never cared in the first place... but whatever.

Because OKC's ownership was looking for an excuse to break up their team and get out of the tax. And the Clippers had the assets to pacify them with a (potentially) good return. Otherwise, Kawhi recruiting PG might have set off a sh*tstorm. Raptors got a championship, so most Raptor fans are pretty content with that.

It probably helps that he's already led 2 different teams to a championship without needing to collude

He didn’t lead the 2014 Spurs to a championship.

When you're the best player in the NBA, other stars want to follow you and win championships. This was a classic case of that as George followed Leonard. I don't see what Leonard did wrong here? He's a class act and always has been. Blame Westbrook for scaring George\Durant away and forming superstar teams, don't blame Kawhi or Curry for being followed.
