This is a fun team to watch.

EDD kept them in the game early. Shot so much better then in game 3.

It really does look like Emma was the missing piece, I believe she missed all of last year b/c she was playing for the Belgian national team.

Just looked at the scores of the 4 games between the Mystics and the Las Vegas Aces.

W by 2 pts
W by 12 pt
L by 17 pts
W (they trailed in the 4th) by 4 pts

After 4 games: Net +1 point

*They have up 90 plus pts EVERY GAME

Going against the Sun, who absolutely crushed the Los Angeles Sparks in three games, I PREDICT...

This is not going to end with the Mystics winning the championship.

Connecticut has a 6 '7" C named Jonquel Jones.

The Mystics beat them once by 43 pts, but lost the first two meetings.

The difference IMO: they play better without Kristi Toliver dominating the ball. They are much better defensively with others playing.

I think they're going to be defeated in 4 games.

Might be swept.

1 game didn't have EDD, and the other didn't have Emma. The one win against them did have EDD but no Emma so...it's up in the air. They were not at full strength in any of the 3 games.

You're ignoring one key fact:

Washington was missing either Delle Donne or Meesseman (our two best players) in the Suns' victories.

Basically, we smacked them when we played at full strength.

CCJ. You can’t stop a screaming locomotive. Caps broke the ice last year. This year it’s the ‘stic’s turn to have a parade, closely followed by the Nats.

We will be Titletown. It’s going to happen. You gotta believe.

It felt as if Atkins was half a step quicker the whole game.

You could hear someone on the espn broadcast yelling during this play in the background like she knew what was coming 2 passes before the shot went up. When Atkins got the ball it sounded like this person was screaming “There it is...There it is...YES!!!” even before the shot went up lol. Anyone know who’s voice that was?

I’m pretty sure it was Kristi Tolliver. She was miked during the game. Listen again, you can hear the ball bouncing while she’s dribbling.

Thanks, I think you’re right. I’d forgotten she was miked up. I remember laughing when Tolliver muttered “phuck” after her second missed free throw.

Championship caliber chemistry. Good mix of psychological profiles. Alpha queen Della Donne, tough veteran Tolliver, happy-to-be-here on surface but subtle killer Meeseman, stoic deadeye Atkins, and keeping things light hearted Cloud.

EDD out with back spasms.

Toliver shot more shots than Meesseman. Toliver tried to be the hero last finals also.

1-1

The Sun have homecourt advantage now. The series is over if EDD stays out.

That Jonquel Jones lady was absolutely dominant! Mystics won't be winning a championship if they can't put a body on her.
Must be a DC basketball thing to not know how to rebound.

A few posts up I mentioned Jonquel Jones. She destroyed the Mystics in an early season game. Very much an up and down player. At her best she's pretty much unstoppable.
