Time for Silver to go. What a joke.

I think there’a consolidate for Joe Harris trade hanging out there for us at some point this season.

They have a lot of wings, not a lot of fours on top of the uncertainty with Kurucs allegation.

Bledsoe/Hill
Matthews/Harris
Middleton/Harris
Giannis/Ersan
Lopez/Lopez

I’m sure many would prefer Wilson over Ersan, but as of right now that’d be our best 9 man rotation.

I thought you didnt like players who failed in the playoffs?

Did you really just post a lineup with the starting 2 guard being JR Smith?

Our actual management posted a lineup with the starting 2 guard being Tony Snell.

He was certainly doo doo in the playoffs, remarked on it at the time. Think he’d be a nice rotation upgrade/added shooter for us as our 2nd best wing. Fits in pretty seamlessly to a Bud offense. Limitations (creation/defensive upside) do mirror some of our other guys. Impressed me throughout the summer with Team USA even though he passed up way too many “Let it fly” moments for an unnecessary ball swing in Pop’s weird Argentinian wannabe offense.

The bigger news should be that the Bucks were in clear and irrefutable violation of the tampering rule and they only got a $50K fine. $50K is nothing and the NBA knows that. The NBA had to do something here or they risk starting a slippery slope. The rule needs to be black and white. Yes, it's common sense that the Bucks will offer Giannis whatever he wants. It's obvious because he's a 24 year old reigning MVP. But isn't it also obvious that every other team with cap space will offer him a max? Would it be okay for the Bulls to come out tomorrow and say "we have a max contract waiting for Giannis the second he hits free agency"? Or do we just think it's ridiculous because Giannis is already on the Bucks. Would it be okay for Horst to say "next offseason, we will be offering Dragan Bender a 4 year contract extension worth $16 million"?

^^^ To me, that seems to be an overly legalistic view. At it's core, the tampering rules are intended to keep outside teams from unethically poaching a home teams players. Here, the Bucks have stated they intend to prevent that poaching from even occurring. In effect, they're working to prevent tampering from even coming up.

Yep. The definition of tampering is that another team is interfering with your ability to retain your own player.

Unless we are now moving the goalposts, and "tampering" is going to be defined as tampering with the free agency system as a whole, as the NBA probably will define it. Silver needs to come clean in a presser and explain the new definition and rules.

Good point. I think that idea ties more closely to ElPeregrino was getting(IMO). Still, to me, that line of thought works at cross-purposes to the original goal of the tampering rules - to reduce poaching.

Didn't Silver say that everything is on the table? Massive $$$ fines, removing of draft picks, voiding contracts? It sounds like tampering penalties will be looked at on a case by case basis.

Yeah, the Clippers having reps at all the Raptors games had to be the final straw.

Awesome that they let the winner of a Bucks super fan contest suit-up and get pictures with the rest of the team.
