It’s cause he’s smaller and crafty - also moves low to the ground a lot - taller defenders or other players just more likely to hit him in the face. It’s not the same thing as a guy who is injury prone on his legs arms and back - especially with a history of non-contact injuries.

That said, Kyrie actually does fall Into the latter category - this face thing doesn’t count though.
