You can't overlook the Defensive impact he gives in addition to his unicorn like physical traits. But Im hoping Randle can keep on his current trajectory, he' also does things (rebounds and passes) that KP will possibly never do well.

Kp will need to learn how to rebound and iso to become truly elite. It's a long road to hoe. But he is very good.

There's just not many 7'3" players that can protect the rim, shoot the 3 and are athletic like KP. Maybe it will work out and doesn't mean he will be a hall of famer, but he really was a unicorn.

In one word... No. He's been pretty overrated by the Boston friendly media for a while now.

FWIW I think Marcus Smart is a better player than him if the shooting uptick was real last season and Marcus got 4/52 last year.

Lance to the Nets might put them over the top

(54 mins ago) Thomas is expected to sign with the Nets, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
While nothing is set in stone, Thomas' presence could help create some floor spacing. He struggled from distance last year, but Thomas shot at least 40 percent from beyond the arc each of the prior three seasons.

I really like Brown but I would not touch him with a max. Maybe if it was Tatum I would take the risk.

Zach Lowe is a pretty knowledgeable guy so it is disheartening to see him be very unhappy with the franchise and offseason. But it's also not surprising. It has nothing to do with the fact that anyone 'hates' the Knicks. He's a self-admitted Knicks fan. The franchise has done this to themselves. You have to earn respect. We haven't yet.

Can also be a guy that is looking for a way to root for the Nets because of who they signed, but has to pull a stunt to not get called out for suddenly becoming a Nets fan.

Or maybe he just thinks the Knicks 20 years of sucktitude warrants an insult. He mentioned their positives (assets) but he also said how they never get it right and he's not wrong about that. They have a lot to prove. Mills has been a career failure as a basketball executive and the jury is out on Perry. The tide has to start turning by next year since this year is another throw away season.

Lol knicks is the thing to to do. As soon as we win get will flip it like what they doing with Daniel Jones or just be very quiet. We need to make the playoffs this year for the culture.

A lot of high end knick fans dont seem to get it.
The knicks added 2 potential number 1 scorers to an aleady existed core. These guys would be Randle and Rj.

The big man signings are looking more and more overblown by the day.
Its because every team needs 5 bigs but only 4 are really in the rotation.
Having insurance in case of injury or matchup isnt that particularly detrimental, especially given NY landscape of facing an uphill battle towards competiveness.

Being solidified in FC could reap benefits to a team that bad things happen like a leaky hose.
Btw morris and taj bring defense so that gives value already that other fans probably wouldnt understand.
Randles signing needs no explanation. Bobby is an offensive big but guess what? Its an offensive league.

In a way signing that many bigs could be tank fodder. If it comes to that, the knicks will be REALLY prepared. In a rebuild, if you are actually building rome, not afghanistan then it will be pleasurable to develop a budding superteam. In all honesty i think FG posts of whats the goal for this franchise is in flux.
People want to build the right way but win and be competitive right now.
