These are always fun.

Every time Cessa is on the mound I throw up a little in my mouth. Just can't stand looking at him. Every time he gets ahead in the count he starts nibbling and ends up behind in the count. And the deer-in-the-headlights look every time the camera zooms in on his face. WTF is with that??!?!? You know how Jerry Seinfeld used to say derisively "Newman!!". That's how I feel about Cessa..."Cessa!!!"

At least with the schleps like Guerrin and the like, you know he try to challenge it's just he's got marginal stuff.

Same. Cessa, Tarpley, Adams, Lasagna can all **** right off. But the scary thing was that the pitchers did their jobs, for once.

But they try again today and Lasagna is already **** up. Add to the fact that God Morton is pitching and it's fixing to be a long night :noway:

We're in for a bumpy ride in Minnesota.

I hate that we play them first round. The balls freaking jump outta that park now.

There are no easy teams. Luckily, we can tee off Minnesota as well.

Kinda want Astros to play Oakland in the ALDS. Oakland was 7-4 against them after the all-star break.

As for the Yankees, I kinda dislike going up against the Twins now only because I feel like they might be due to finally beat us. We have completely owned this team for 2 decades now in the playoffs and they have never beaten us. I always feel is this going to be the yr? Hope not! I do believe we are the better team, so hopefully the dominance continues.

I think Twins are the easiest matchups out of all the teams. They don't have the pitching the other teams have and we have the bats to match them. As long as we don't give up the long balls to them we should be ok, they don't hit for average and they don't play the small ball game. Won't be a sweep but my guess is 4-2 Yanks. I also hope Stros play Oakland, they're never an easy out in the playoffs.

Off the roster
Voit (maybe comeback onto ALCS roster, if Encarnacion is a go will be on roster then, possible you could carry Ford, Encarnacion and Voit on roster).
Cessa (had some moments this year but he would get lit up by Twins
Cortes (now hes trash)
Guerin (trash)
Frazier (done better on D, not hitting and not needed anyways)

Twins are far from an easy match-up lol

Did we already forget the wars those games in Minnesota were a month or two ago?

Nobody said they were easy, what was said was that they are the easiest matchup for us out of the remaining teams. Did you forget how bad Oakland spanked us, or how Astros already have our number these last couple years, or how Rays just shut us out. I think we match up with Twins the best and they don't have the pitching these other teams have.

Twins are the best matchup on paper.

And let's hope the A's kick the Astros butts.

You guys are going to start Tanaka for game 1, right?

Yeah I think so. He may not be the best but he's the most experienced and, therefore, probably the one most likely to not have a meltdown and let the game get away from them. He may allow 3 runs over 5 or 6 but he's a lot less likely to throw a stinker. Then you go to the bullpen anyways. Try to get the win which then would put less pressure on Paxton and Severino who have better stuff but may not be as pressure cooked as Tanaka is.

What should be happening is they should be starting Verlander but they felt it was a better idea to trade those assets for Sonny Freaking Gray.

We dominated the Rays this year 12-7 and 8-2 at home. I would have much preferred the Rays. Twins are tricky because in a lot of ways they're just like us. Shaky starting pitching, a bunch of power hitters, and a good bullpen. I think the homefield will give us the edge and I take our lineup 1-9 over theirs, but the thing with power hitting teams is that they can surge to crazy production in a small sample size so a team like the Twins can't be taken lightly.

Tanaka's an excellent big game pitcher. I think you're in good hands with him.

I can understand the Sonny Gray frustration, especially given his 2.80 ERA this season.
