I think he'll be better than Lonzo, but don't like him playing for us because I think he'll bolt to a big market the moment he can. Hopefully MJ understands this and doesn't buy into the hype. The fact we signed Rozier to a 3 year contract should hopefully mean we aren't going to be looking to add a PG in the draft next year.

Lamelo very easily could become an All-Star. A guard his size and with his superior passing is very rare. If he doesn't let the fame get to his head, my money is on him becoming one.

Yeah Lamelo is a guy I think will be good, but if we have choices I’d rather pass on him. If we end up bad, but get screwed where we pick and he falls then I can understand the pick.

At this point I'd like Anthony Edwards, Cole Anthony, or Wiseman. I just started checking out prospects but all 3bof those dudes have some nice talent. Especially Edward's.

There's a lot of good guard talent in this year's class. I hope Mitch can draft one of the better ones.

Anthony, Edwards, Ball, Maledon, Hampton, Hayes, Mannion, Maxey, Haliburton, Dosunmu, and Jones could all land in the top half of the draft.

Agreed. Realistically, I hope we are able to accumulate 1st rounders over the next few drafts. I know our players aren't as coveted, but we have some larger expirings we can offer for longer term salary and/or future cap space we could absorb bad contracts for picks. IDK, probably just my pipe dream.

Need to do what we did in the Maggette/Gordon trade that eventually netted us the 9th pick from Detroit.

Yeah, Mitch doesn't deserve all the criticism just yet. He's clearly picking up the pieces with limited flexibility, it will be 2021 at least until the majority of our salary cap are his acquisitions. The Kemba situation is on ownership as far as I'm concerned, I seriously doubt Mitch went to MJ in June and proposed "Yeah, I know you're willing to pay Kemba...but what if we totally low-ball him instead?"

Cole Anthony or Anthony Edwards considering the Hornets situation, anything else imo would be a disaster

That's my thinking as well, although I'm also starting to like Lamello Ball.

I want to like Wiseman, but listening to him in interviews something about him just turns me off. He seems to lack confidence and after MKG I don't want to go through that again.

Wiseman reminds me of Damian Jones, probably better, but still

I would not touch him high

You have to take the guy with the biggest potential 1st year into a rebuild and that's Wiseman. The guy is raw but what he can do is special. He also isn't likely to kick us out of our rebuild too soon since centers at his size take a couple years to grow into NBA bodies. Adding Ball would be a disaster and have us treadmilling again. He's experienced and will contribute right away - thus lowering our chances of picking at the top of the board in 2021 and 2022. That 2022 double draft is going to be a big one and if we want to build something like Philly has, we have to tank at least until then. If Wiseman isn't there, I wouldn't be against trading our pick for picks in 2022.
The Charlotte Hornets will win their first round series against the Boston Celtics in the 2021 Playoffs
