From "never will play a single game again" to practicing with Kobe and active for training camp.

Someone check the health status of the Sixers board.

I remember last season when Weltman said (not word for word) "When Markelle comes back he's back for good, we are not going to rush him back to prematurely. The plan is when he is back he is 110% healthy".

I'm sure we will still monitor his minutes, but it's insane to me Fultz has played LESS games than Bamba and Bamba was injured for some time last season.

New narrative is that his shot looks horrible and he will never have a jumper.

It’s come a long way from him being a head case with an imaginary injury just in it for the money.

I'm pulling for this kid in a huge way. For one because he seems like a cool guy and for two, I wouldn't mind seeing a whole lot of people eat sh$$. I don't ever remember someone getting it like this kid has , total little boy stuff from posters and the media on this issue. Of course they'll quietly hope the kid fails to validate their bullsh$$ and if he succeeds, more horsesh$$.

I don't blame Sixers fans for being upset. If we had a #1 pick that went the way Fultz did then got traded for peanuts... we'd all hold somewhat of a grudge at least. Unique situation, hopefully he doesn't have any setbacks and this injury mess is behind him.

Bruhhhhh I was coming here to say that.

Jimmies Status: Rustled

I just really want this guy to be who he can be. The fact that so many people seem to actively wish for him to fail, I want him to really shut them TF up. Collateral benefit is that he plays for us.

I’m also going to publicly admit that I didn’t want us to trade for him last season until I saw what we gave up.

I too, doubted him before he joined us.

To some degree internally maybe, but I don’t see anybody on this board actively rooting against Oladipo who was our #2 pick (might as well been #1 because I’m sure we weren’t drafting Bennett) and is now an NBA all-star.

I see complaints about management trading him, but I haven’t seen anyone make a comment where they are rooting against him in general or rooting against him coming back from the severe injury he fell victim to last season.

Sixers fans seem to want Fultz to fail when their aggravation should be geared towards management IMHO.

Don't worry i'm fine
Funny how people have no problems at making this little shots at me but get all bu*** hurt when i bring their history back.
During 2016 you got upset at live thread because somebody suggested that it's Payton, not Vučević that can't defend pick & roll. So should i ridicule you now for next 10 years or?

I had my opinion about Fultz before Magic trade, to this date nothing really changed and i still think his issue wasn't only physical injury. To this date, including new ( edited) hype videos he still does not shoot like he used to shoot at college. So nothing changed but fact that somebody who works with Magic green-lighted edited 30 sec of footage of him practicing, including him shooting.

It's amazing how much posters care what people they never saw in their lifes think

Not that it's about proving people wrong anyways, but to be fair, even the doubters/haters that still think he is a colossal bust haven't been proven wrong by these videos. This is a step in a positive direction but it is also one that we saw him take last year and it still ended badly.

After going back and watching hours of Fultz interviews/highlights and seeing how he was around this time last year I will say that I see a noticeable difference in his demeanor. He seems to have gotten his confidence back to a certain extent and actually seems like he is enjoying playing basketball again. For the crowd that is convinced it is purely psychological or that a big part of it atleast is, that has to feel like a step in the right direction. I also think his shot looks noticeably better. Still not perfect and it most likely will never look like it did in college, but its miles ahead of what it was in his rookie season.

He is still going to have a long year ahead of him but if he can give a full season next year and prove to be a positive impact for this team I think that should be a win and would shut up alot of the doubters.

being upset and hoping for a 21 year old player to fail are two different things.

Agree with this. If Fultz succeeds Sixers fans should blame their FO for not being patient with Markelle. It's double standard on their part for allowing Embiid to go with the process of fully recovering before really making a comeback. There also a lot of load management done for Embiid.

I would also like to commend our front office on this gamble for Fultz and the way they handled the expectations, rehab and recovery for Markelle. I also like how the FO's demeanor when they 1st introduced Markelle to the Magic fans. They didn't give in to the public pressures for a timeline for Markelle to recover. The 12M extension was a vote of confidence for Markelle. When he plays with great joy this FO will say they hit the homerun. They hit the jackpot with Giannis, hopefully they got us a stud with Markelle.

I went to the Sixers board and didn't even see 3 comments about the updated Fultz news. There was one guy that said something negative about him. Where are all these salty Sixers fans you speak of? Quote more than a few examples please

I was wondering why Chase Young and Markelle were tweeting each other yesterday. They're both from Hyattsville Maryland. Young is the top defensive player this year in college football.

From what i saw , Philly fans are more interested into:
1) Simmons shooting corner 3s
2) Embiid losing 25 pounds
3) Making fun how Ilyasova has been 29 years old last 3 years
4) strange fascination with Josh Richardson

Than anything about Fultz. There are few comments here and there, but nothing major. I mean if they really wanna be mad at something ,it's a trade they made that made them miss on Tatum. Having young core of Simmons, Tatum and Embiid is wet dream of every GM.

I think they have a no mention Fultz name moto. Kind of like how Magic fans wouldn't even say Fran Vazquez name.
