Kyle knew Kawhi was leaving. Good on him not telling Masai so that Masai could go after a different free agent and such...

? All Kyle said was that they talked about it.

And what free agent was Masai can go after with 8M?

-1. I suggest you read / listen Jordan Peterson 12 rules for life to see the importance of religion in building our society, laws and regulations. Also let's not get this thread off topic.

I saw some video of OG at Rico's and he looked the same. He must have really improved the last couple of months.

Jordan Peterson should stick to what he knows - psychology. He's out of his element when he delves into political and sociological history.

Peterson also advocated for forced monogamy, lol. Dude acts like the 1950s was the golden age of society, but it was far from that.

I was trying to not go off topic and I failed... Some of the things Peterson says you obviously question and say, 'nah I don't think so.' But on the topic of religion - Christian, Judaism, Islam it doesn't matter - forming the base of society values I agree with. Religion is not perfect but it should be respected is my point.

Our customs, traditions, religions have evolve obviously.

Modern countries are governed by a constitution (subject to amendments) which contradict religious dogma.

Sure. I respect anyone's beliefs as they long as they do not hurt anybody else. Freedom of speech and religion is enshrined in the Canadian constitution as they should be.

Religion is a nice way to bring people together, but it isn't the only way to do so. Scandinavian countries, for example, are almost entirely atheist, but have the highest standard of living, highest equity rates, best areas to live etc. in the world.

Many things can bring people together and forge unity/a sense of purpose, religion is just one of those things. The danger of religion, however, is that its dogmatic and can be interpreted in different ways that can lead to harmful results (see the crusades, see the protestant-catholic wars, see fundamentalist Islam).

Anyways nothing is really black and white - the evolution of human society has been a product of many different events, customs, religions, traditions, wars, ideologies, communities, societies, beliefs, revolutions etc.

The idea of religion doesn’t separate people and is not intended to, but the results in my opinion tend to. As an atheist I don’t care what you believe in as long as you don’t use your views to cut down or hurt anyone else. We obviously know there is extremists that don’t follow that. I just think it should be a private affair. You’re allowed to your freedom of choice, but sure would be nice if you could keep that within your personal residence and your church, mosque, Temple, or community in which you practice in. I was raised catholic and will never get married in a Catholic Church or let my kids go to a catholic school. I will however, not influence my children what to believe. I will let them figure it out on their own, as I figured out my beliefs on my own.

Nothing’s better than OG saying “I’m really excited about it” in a completely monotone fashion.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Yep. His book didn't start selling until his transphobic incident propelled him into fame. Now he's funded by White Supremacists. I'm anxiously awaiting his 15 minutes of fame to be over. My wife is doing a PHD at UofT (in Psych) and they wish they could fire him. They no longer allow him to teach classes and he currently has 1 grad student. His whole identity of him as prof now is fraudulent.

Why in a thread about training camp is there an argument about religion? Some of you guys don’t get it. You will NEVER win an online argument about religion or politics.Nothing you say will change people’s beliefs.

I came here for Raptors basketball. Stop cluttering this thread up.

I'm not worried about the release speed so much because he will be asked to take the open shots to keep defences honest and his spacing will be what he provides primarily I suspect. Anyhow, I worry more about his low release point. He gets a lot of his arc from the wrist rather than the higher release point. That brings the ball down lower and makes it easier to block (considering also he isn't tall).

Yup, it sure does seem to come all from his wrist.

He'll have to rely on quick release and positioning to overcome the NBA's size. I'm confident he'll be ok offensively. If he can hustle on D, we've got a gem here. He did pretty good +/--wise in the 2017 summer league. He seemed to have ended up playing in Spain (and winning everything there) more by chance than demerit.
