I consider Los Angeles a front runner town though for basketball, I think they're pretty loyal to the Lakers for the most part. I can't say the same for any other sport there.

Laker fans can boo all they want, it'll be like booing a wall. Kawhi couldn't care less if he gets booed there for the rest of his life. He just seems like the kind of person who doesn't give a crap about what people think of him and just does what he does, which is a fantastic quality for a basketball player/public figure.

I don’t see how anyone can make this claim with a straight face.

Seriously the Clippers gave been far better than the Lakers the last 6 years, yet the Lakers continue to outdraw them substantially in person and in local viewership.

The Dodgers went through the disastrous Frank McCourt era, where they were practically a laughingstock franchise, and still maintained very high ticket sales.

There is nothing that really supports them being considered a “front runner” town. You could say they are a Laker/Dodger town. They are the dominant franchises in the market. The Rams would be a distant 3rd.
